I do remember Armada being one of the Transformers shows where the human characters are mostly useless. Alexis is the only useful especially her bond with Starscream but other than, we have to deal with one who simped for a girl that doesn’t even exist and another that just talks about food all day long

Armada continues the tradition of making Transformers fans think there are more animation errors in a show than intended because the versions available in English are literally unfinished like Rhino's G1 DVDs.

Well no that's just true in this instance. It doesn't matter that when it came to Japan they spent more money to fix it, when it aired it was full of Animation Errors. There is a Difference between, a show airing without animation errors, and having a later release create a ton, and a show airing with a ton, and a later release fixing them.

@@PerspectiveEnd Aaron Archer has said Armada's dub was quite literally made with unfinished animation, they didn't "spend more money to fix it" for Japan. It got rushed to the American market, which didn't allow the studio to finish the basic animation process (IE doing in-betweening, fixing placeholder effects, correcting off model characters etc). It gets worse in Energon's case where full episodes weren't even dubbed. This is entirely the cause of America and Japan operating on different seasonal release schedules. The Japanese side was caught off gaurd when their production deadlines didn't meet Hasbro's haste since their planning and schedule followed the intended Japanese release. Hasbro rushed it out so badly that in several instances, they didn't properly translate characters' names from the Japanese scripts Optimus even calls himself Convoy in the Armada dub in some instances. What Rhino released for G1 were literally unfinished work prints, and the Armada dub also comprised of... unfinished work prints. Hence many of the same missing production elements in both.

It was the Aired state. That counts. Once it airs, you have locked in that's the way it looked when people's memories of it formed. It doesn't matter if you counted it as unfinished at the time, any later versions can only be fixed versions.

I simply appreciate Armada's significant differentiation in designs. No buckethead Megatron for example. This show's animation quality is truly something horrible. It might be the most inconsistent and poorly controlled show since G1, and debatably is less consistent than Energon since it's just reusing the same CAD Files for every character. I want to get an accurate Armada Prime and customize it, but there IS no accurate Armada Prime.

I remember Armada so well back when it was on toonami and it was amazing to me as a kid when I look back now at the fight scenes and designs, they look super bulky and the fights are stiff not to mention the animation for the US version got cheapened down which is why there's so many imperfections in them hilariously enough.

I rewatched Armada about a year ago. It has aged like moldy bread covered in curdled milk. I still enjoyed it though. Armada Starscream is probably my 2nd favorite after the G1 schemer.

Yeah, rewatching what I did to make this video, I feel that. The Voice acting is bad, the characters are weak, the animation is terrible, and the pacing is AWKWARD.

Oh boy, the animation was kinda rough here. I guess we see why they tried going CG again. Blurr was a stoic marksman that did the kibble trenchcoat before movie Crosshairs and also has the flying car mode like Tracks. Improvement over G1 Blurr that's for sure. Sideswipe...he's like the car he's based on, the Skyline GTR33. The one that NO ONE cares about and got the worst toy. The one true Jetfire of this franchise was cool, even when he did his part being Prime's super pants. Tidal Wave is proof mass shifting exists outside of just G1. Scavenger was kinda interesting, he also beats up Hot Shot a few times for the kid-appeal haters out there. Smokescreen is the kinda Hound, but sadly forgettable and forgotten after his body upgrade. Notice how Armada Starscream is the retelling of Beast Wars Starscream's "death" or what he told everyone?

the armada desgins are as weird as the animated designs but not as rubbery and have their heads change size every other shot like, that shot with megatrons small ass head made me cringe inside out. also, prime's big blue bulge is making volvo VNR optimus's buldge run for his money.
