MMT does work during crisis, the US Treasury used it in the Civil War (printing greenbacks un-backed by gold). But, debt-to-gdp for the USA was a lot lower back then. By contrast, Debt-to-GDP for England in the 1790s was 200% (more than Japan's today, which has net domestic savers) while the USA's Debt-to-GDP is over 100% today, but, England was saved by the Industrial Revolution. What will save the USA? Only anti-aging inventions and possibly fusion power, a singularity, given world populations peak in 2050 and usually falling populations is deflationary and problematic. So if you're long the stock market today you're long on a Ray Kurzweil singularity event, implicitly.

You're only long singularity if you're long a dystopian, slave-like future. Read not only Kurzweil but all the elites before him who were/are obsessed with controlling people, reducing the population, etc.
