Young Patriots fan Robbie Barnicoat persevered while battling a severe epilepsy syndrome thanks in part to a Rob Gronkowski jersey hanging in his hospital room. The two Robs got the chance to meet during in the 2017 season, when New England Patriots hosted the Miami Dolphins.

Kids pretty tough. Gronks a great guy for going out of his way and making this kids life a little better. A lot of people won’t even take five minutes out of their day to say high to someone they pass on the streets.

I am a die-hard Steelers fan and this story brought me to tears I do love the Patriots I know a lot of people say how can you love the Steelers and love the Patriots but I'll look at the Patriots locker room and there is no turmoil nobody wants to cause trouble like our locker room with the Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. Gronk is a powerhouse who brings more attention to researching how to stop seizures; especially what this brave kid has endured in his life. I have had eleven of these super intense seizures...unable to walk for many hours at a time and not knowing if I ever would again and....The worst part, by far, is feeling like I'm being electrocuted so badly that not dying to be out of my misery is far worse than any fear of death. We need much more research on seizures--especially at well funded places such as NIH. This kid is a thousand times tougher than many people may even begin to imagine him being.
