I actually started watching football this season. Previously, when I saw Gronk, I had the dumb jock stereotype flash before my eyes. On one interview before SB55, the dude actually calculated 87*12 on the fly and took him like 5 secs. How long do you think that'd take for you to calculate without a pen/calculator. I changed my opinion of him then. Dude's not only emotionally intelligent (the way he raises up the morale of the team), he's also intellectually intelligent. The fact that gronk respected the situation to not speak it publicly shows how mature he can be
@dizzleslaunsen23726 ай бұрын
What are you talking about mature? Dude was a killer and gronk knew him. It’s simple to ask. Other people on the team don’t get weird and in fact have participated in the documentary about Aaron Hernandez……
@dwezel3 ай бұрын
@@dizzleslaunsen2372what are you talking about? how’s it not mature to not want to talk about someone you know who murdered someone just because other people are okay to talk about it? What makes that not mature? Do you even know what the word mature means? The reporter asked a question about something he didn’t want to talk about and respectfully declined and the guy pressed and then asked his father instead. That’s 100% disrespectful and rob handled the situation maturely. I get Hernandez is terrible person, but that doesn’t mean everyone would want to talk about it.
@YouCanCallMeReTro22 күн бұрын
@@dizzleslaunsen2372 Probably a lot of complicated emotions, especially at this time back when it was more fresh and he had just died. I can't fathom how it would be to figure out that your friend who you came up in the game with did stuff like that and then hes dead in prison. He has no obligation to you or anybody to share his feelings on it.

@@lollypopbaum I bought it and it is really good. It gives a lot of details on the evidence the defence used to win the second trial. Such a tragic story. If Aaron would have hired Jose Baez for the first trial he'd probably be alive and free. Alexander Bradley murdered those two young men. I live in Germany as well and never heard of Aaron Hernandez's case until Netflix documentary. It is so sad from all angles, for the victims their families and for Aaron himself.

That reporter makes me so mad. He should know that this is a very sensitive issue for him. He doesn't want to criticize a former friend and teammate, at least not publicly. But that stupid idiot is showing no respect. Sometimes recognize media doesn't recognize that the bonds between teammates is very strong, and they care a lot more about each other than some reporter
@spk84899 жыл бұрын
The reporter is doing what he's supposed to. If that reporter never asked tough questions, he wouldn't have a job. There is a ton of competition in media, and if you're scared of hurting your interview subject's feelings, you're gone.
@jfa-px3mu9 жыл бұрын
Joey Croissant I totally understand that part. I just think he should not have kept pressing him after he (politely) made it clear he wasn't going to discuss it. And he especially shouldn't have then tried to drag his dad into it. I don't think it's about hurting Gronk's feelings, it's more about pissing him off, by not respecting his boundaries. Like I said, Aaron Hernandez, for all his evil, was Gronk's teammate, colleague, and probably friend. The bond between NFL players is similar to the bond shared by soldiers who go to war together. And he (or any Patriots teammate) would most likely never criticize him just to satisfy some little piss ant reporter. No matter how they feel about Hernandez privately. But yes, I agree the reporter had to ask about Hernandez, but I just don't think he should have pressed him afterward, and especially not try to get Gronk's dad to talk shit about Hernandez
@erlpen20169 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Forczyk so what was he supposed to talk about? how good looking he is? don't accept an interview if you are not going to answer questions...
@jfa-px3mu9 жыл бұрын
besamemucho5 Are you kidding there's a bunch of shit to talk about, like his other teammates, his recent season, his injuries, his partying. Even then I don't blame the reporter for asking, I blame him for continuing to poke and prod after he made it clear he wouldn't talk about it. Like he would betray a teammate just to satisfy some little bitch ass reporter
@spk84899 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Forczyk Okay, I'm sorry but I'm jumping back in. I agree that if the interviewee refuses to talk about something, a reporter should not harass the interviewee. But if you are going to call someone a "bitch-ass" or a "piss-ant" then you must be referring to the athletes as well. The only thing scummier than sports journalists are the athletes themselves. Case in point: Aaron fucking Hernandez and Ray Rice. If you want to make broad, non-specific generalizations, then I'd say reporters are generally scumbags, but they aren't generally murders and wife-beaters.
