Rob Halford is most definitely a living LEGEND. There is no other singer that has influenced as many singers in Heavy Metal music than The Metal God Rob Halford. The last time I saw Judas Priest was almost two years ago on their Firepower tour and Rob Halford was still a PHENOMENAL singer. Iron Maiden is and has been my all time favorite band for over thirty years, but my all time favorite singer ever has always been The Metal God Rob Halford. His singing in my opinion is the most iconic singing Heavy Metal music has ever had, and I don't see anyone ever dethroning him from his throne.

I love this guy! I'm a priest fan since I was 15 years old, and discovered "British Steel" and "Killing Machine" in my dad's record collection!

I wonder if the Australian band he was talking about was Ne Obliviscaris. They did do an American tour very recently, and they are incredible.

he's said that before on his Instagram. it just seems to slip out every now and then.

I caught that too. He definitely meant to say the Firepower tour instead of the Painkiller tour. It happens to all the best of us in some moments.

You can't say Rock is dead. I just think the guitar is moving out of the spotlight at the prominent instrument. I mean, look Woodwind, brass instruments, strings in orchestras were in vogue for hundreds of years. And then when the organ was invented how many decades was that the dominant lead instrument? it's just a new time in the cycle of music.

Not even slightly true. "Angel of Retribution" was a triumphant return for Halford. "Nostradamus" was a different kind of album but still really good. And "Redeemer of Souls" was killer. "Firepower" was even better than that. They're on a roll lately and aren't going anywhere. Their 19th album is upcoming, and it'll be the most anticipated album of the year, whether it comes out in 2020 or 2021.
