Saw Priest 9-22-1979 in Chicago. It was awesome. Better the main show I went to see. I cannot believe how it has been. I was 13 at the time and now I am 54 and still love them to death. Rob Halford is the best singer in my opinion. The whole band is superb. Ian Hill...superb bass player. Nobody ever talks about him, but he is really good. Green Manalishi was the first song that got me interested.I wanted to see Kiss and it said Judas Priest was the warm up band and I was more excited about that. Kiss was entertaining, but it was all one big rumble of noise where Priest was clear and awesome:) Thank you Rob for all the great years of your talent:)

Oh my goodness. This was totally unexpected but absolutely epic and awesome to have the Metal God himself on the show. 🤟. And I already picked up a copy of Confess myself and is definitely worth the read, an excellent autobiography. Edit: Posted this during the first few seconds of the interview, but after finishing it, Pete, you did a fantastic job, both on the question side, and even more so on just letting Rob talk and answer those questions without interrupting or cutting him off. You’d be hard pressed to find many interviews nowadays where the person being interviewed isn’t allowed to speak two sentences before being cut off. Great job Pete

Not taking anything away from either Priest, Halford or Unleashed in the East, an album I love dearly and still give regular spins, but I seem to recall Rob Halford himself has confirmed that the actual concert vocals were not upto scratch and therefore redone. I've watched most of your interviews...Halford, Steve Hackett, Steve Morse, Simon Phillips, Carmen Appice, Derek Shulman, Neal Morse, Derek Sherinian, Alex Skolnick, Kim Simmonds, Andy Powell, Chris Caffery, and Frank Marino...and you really put these musicians at ease so that they feel compelled to share stuff with us freely.
