Rob Harris is absolutely class. Normal bloke you could go and have a pint with, whilst being a truly inspirational musician and one of the absolute best guitarists around for the past 20 and likely the next 20.

Used to talk to him in the playground when we waited for our kids to come out of school.. lovely fella, used to be very relaxed talking music too. Even popped over to see us in our new house when we moved, couldn't meet a more chilled out dude

My goodness, where to start with this? I just have to say up front, if someone asks why I don't like cheesy Metal, this answers the question. Rob is all about musicality, no posturing, just pure musical magic. If you want to improve as a guitar player or as a musician, no matter what style you're into, just watch and listen to the man.

One of the best guitarists you could ask for in a band. Dedicated, professional, daring and intensely musical. It’s fascinating and inspiring to hear his thoughts on music and his stories about his work. I’m particularly surprised that Jamiroquai has no rules and no key when they play. That to me is just insane. I wouldn’t be able to cope with that! Only the best practiced musicians can think and play that way. No wonder they sound so unique and distinctive, compared to many other bands that end up sounding much the same as each other.

PRS Fiore is a wonderfully made guitar, one guitar that is all you need, so versatile! I am a simple man, 80 different guitars is not the answer for me! A good acoustic guitar you can plug in if you want, and a versatile good electric guitar is enough for me!

The best thing about rob other then him being a phenomenal guitar player is that he just seems so delighted to be where he is and is still doing it just for the love of the music. He’s been one of my favourite guitar players since the first time i herd a jamiroquai track in the late 90’s. all i can say is thank you for the years of inspiration

Fantastic video, I have always loved Jamiroquai, and since becoming a guitarist over the last few years, I haven’t circled back to appreciate the guitar in their amazing catchy tunes ….. this video changed that. Thanks for the video and the joy your songs have given me and so many people I know Rob Harris. As a bonus I’ve been considering a PRS Fiore, seeing this has cemented me going to check one out in person in the next week or so !!

Casualmente tengo una pantalla Orange PPC112 a la que le pongo un Sennheiser E906, ¿os da buen resultado colocándolo delante del logo "Orange"? Además en algunas tomas me parece verlo ligeramente separado.

Dynamite LP is indeed to much guitars and a bit too much rock. Yet Rob is my favourite modern guitar player cuz he's later work. Super tight and funky and classy cat! Came here to watch the masterclass again. And Cory Wong is too crazy lol

When I play a lot of rhythm I tend to wear down the fingernail on my index finger and then it hurts when I play. Not sure how I can fix that. I Went from a hard to a medium pick , but it don't like the way it sounds.
@brendanpmaclean
@brendanpmaclean Жыл бұрын
Wow! I’m not alone. And, it seems, neither are you. I have the same thing. I end up with my nail ending in a sort of S shape. I’ve worked to alter the way I hold my pick and it’s starting to work. The easiest way to describe it is making the first knuckle of the index finger run parallel to the strings when holding the pick. Instead of the index finger pointing more or less at the strings, it points back towards the bridge. It feels weird at first, and I forget sometimes, but I’m getting used to it. In my opinion, it has helped me a little with my technique. Or maybe I made that list bit up 😂 Give it a go, see if it helps.
@gimmeagig
@gimmeagig Жыл бұрын
@@brendanpmaclean Thanks for the message. I have messed around with changing my picking technique as well. But I am mainly a bass player and that's where most of my practice time goes. I don't quite get enough consistent practice time on guitar to make new things I learn stick.
