I’m enjoying! Keep em coming. Your imagining the 10th dimension videos inspired my middle grade fantasy novel The Dreams of Phillip Aisling 😄

Very kind of you. Everybody brings their pieces of the puzzle to the table, these are the ones I’ve found.

Not sure if it is because I have listened to the 10th dimension video so many times but I find your voice delightful. Soothing with a hint of nostalgia for the first video. Should do audio books if you don't already (other than this one)

Thanks for the compliment! Most of my work in the film and video industry has been as a composer and sound designer. But I do sneak my voice in here and there. Like in the Scott Eastwood Mel Gibson film I mixed a few months ago, you hear my voice in a few places, cut in as sound effects of off camera “walla”.

Just the other night, I observed the Big Dipper from my bedroom window, when I tell someone I do not just see those bright stars but I also see them sort of suspended on a chickenwire-ish frame... That is when people look and slowly roll their eyes. I think it is funny at the same time feeling the contrast of a lonely place.

I agree, I’m thinking that these will bear repeated viewings, particular with the additional graphics I’ve been creating for my 10thdim Twitter and instagram feeds that you’re seeing here as well.

Can you create a play list?

kzbin.info/aero/PL8342945E6FC4EE1D Hi! The playlist is called Tenth Dimension vlog. I’ll keep adding the new chapters into the playlist as I upload them. Right now it starts with a 90 second intro, then chapter zero part one and two, then continues on with hundreds of other videos I’ve posted over the years.

@@10thdim you are under appreciated by the scientific community as a whole. But you have influenced me immensely by your teachings. Thank you.

If he finds out how the wave function precisely collapses, I will run screaming through the streets for a whole day. When they catch me and put into observation in a psych ward, I'll explain to them why I screamed and they will keep me there :D Though since I will then know how it collapses, it will never happen.
@10thdim

Everett insisted that there is no collapse, there is only observation. Which would be why his Many Worlds Interpretation teaches that an observer in one of the other alternate universes sees a universe that is just as real as the one you are currently observing.
@MultiverseHacker

@@10thdim But since there is an inherently random component to the universe, which for example can be shown to be true with the Bell test experiment, the question would be, could the observer influence this random traversal beyond the deterministic component. Could one actually manipulate the random component to make it enter a particular branch of one's own choosing. I guess it could be rephrased as: could one limit the number of branching choices such that it doesn't matter what random branch we enter, we would end up where we wanted.

MultiverseHacker I often quote Schrodinger: “Life creates pockets of negative entropy.” With consciousness being fundamental, we can see how we might choose exactly what the Uncertainty Principle would have selected. Or we can choose something else which slows down the universe’s natural inclination to head towards the highest entropy state by just a little bit. Sometimes going with the flow of whatever Heisenberg’s dishing out is just fine, though, nothing wrong with that if it’s working.
@MultiverseHacker

@@10thdim I see. Negative entropy is already a narrowing of branching because low entropy structures are more deliberate and a sign of evolution at work. And we are not just pockets of low entropy, we are intelligent pockets of low entropy which is extra self-sustaining and deliberate/directed if we aim so. At the same time always minimizing entropy may not be optimal either, for example in cases where stronger branching is projected to be more promising. Such as taking advantage of branching in quantum computing where we could say we probe multiple universes at once to get statistics of the average result.

Why only 10 dimensions?

As I said in the previous video, it’s not because I ran out of fingers and couldn’t count any higher. We are using the logic of the point line plane postulate here, which can be used to visualize any number of dimensions, and by assigning meaning to the dimensions I argue that ten (or eleven if you count the zero we start from) is all you need, to get to what Max Tegmark calls the Ultimate Ensemble. The fact that a number of mystical systems (like the Kabbalah or the Pythagorean Tetractys) as well as string theory have embraced this number indicates to me that these are ideas humans have repeatedly intuited over millennia, which is why I introduced the Platonic doctrine of anamnesis in the previous video: there is knowledge we are born knowing. Nothing is ever learned, it is simply being remembered.
