I read a book a while back, to try to understand Drumpf supporters. It is The Authoritarians, by Bob Altemeyer. It said that Evangelicals and Christian Fundamentalists, are almost always Right Wing Authoritarian personalities. It helped me understand how religious folks could support, the most un-Christian person, that Iv'e ever seen. My disdain for all religions grew. However, Rob and Jon just reminded me; Not all Christians are Christian Nationalists. It still scares me how many have infiltrated our government, all the way up to the Supreme Court, in my opinion.

It was great to see Rob Reiner on this show. I watched All in the family for as long as it ran and repeats as well. It was the most brilliant couageous show on tv. It still rates way up there today. His movie's are fantastic. A great writer and director. I agree about his views on politics and white nationalists. Rob is right about evangelicals and not to judge them all the same but then its not good to judge anything or anyone the same. We need to use tight discernment. I like it when he mentioned Phil Vischer because I watch The Holy Post every now and then and I can tell that they are all really good people who take the teachings of their religion seriously and help people. Even though I'm an atheist, I learn a lot from them and I think other people can learn a lot from them as well.

The mainstream Media kept quiet abt him STEPPING DOWN even though #HarveyWeistein had quite the reputation of a "serial" sexual abuser. 🙄 A film abt #HarveyWeinstein was "bumped" to make room for a last-minute entry of that #FraudFilm .. There were some very powerful people behind that #FraudFilm still un-named in 2024. They got RR to keep quiet & step down plus two @HBO Execs. IMDb still lists that #Fraud film, but lists no Producer/s AND disgustingly has #MichaelJackson 👑 listed as an "actor" .. implying it was ok'd by #MJ .. te main reason I refuse any input from IMDb since #MJ 👑 had been DEAD for abt 2.5 yrs & the two accusers were EXTORTIONISTS. Also, Oprah Winfrey quietly removed everything abt & from those two extortionists & NEVER APOLOGIZED TO #MJ's Family & #ForeverFans .. bc she scared of standing up for the falsely accused, but not facilitating their "character" assassination. We will never for #MJ 👑 was, is & will always be 100% proven innocent. Cannot believe Oprah stayed "quiet" & protected her "friends' evilness". May everyone who had a part in these false allegations rot in hell.. every single one of them.. including #SONY #HBO #DISNEY & MORE. #Hollywood is so manipulative.. I still run into people who believe the (false) allegations AND the film abt Weinstein is still unknown by many. It's a fact-based film by Uma? MacFarlane. Last time I checked #IMDb had not even listed it. WTF?! That is scary bc a lot of people think IMDb is a verifiable resource. Wow. 💀

I always respected the choice to hobble Paul Sheldon with a hammer rather than an ax mostly because it would be impossible to put that scene on film as it appeared in the book without turning the Misery adaptation into a wholly different genre of film. The sledgehammer was gutwrenching but quick and clean, with a /chef's kiss/ suspense-to-payoff ratio. In practical terms it probably would have affected the movie's rating, too, which mattered a whole lot more then than it seems to now.

Rob had the best teacher in the world! Norman Lear taught Rob everything he knew about real life and the people in it and it started with Archie Bunker. 🙂 Norman taught me my step father was Archie Bunker and helped steer me away from his prejudices.
