SNL alum and legendary comedian Rob Schneider recently converted to Catholicism, and his interest in the Shroud of Turin played a significant role. Deuce Bigalow is a Shroudie ? Awesome. I saw Rob a few months ago at a comedy club, sat on the front row, enjoyed the show, Rob was great. After the show I talked to some people outside and told them about the Shroud. I do that quite a bit. I’m a Shroud nerd and I’m cool with it.

Rob Schneider this is amazing! I had been thinking along the same lines, regarding the split second flash of light in human procreation (that has been recorded under a microscope) and the plasma light that is believed to have created the image on the shroud at the moment of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I’m sure this idea has been considered by others, but for me, you are the first person to actually verbalize this comparative phenomenon. Looking forward to your shroud movie. 👍

Lovely interview, really enjoyable. Looking forward to the film. Just one thing, as a Protestant Shroudie I felt a bit excluded by that phrase “ the Catholic Church is the one true church”. The Shroud is for everyone just as Jesus is.

If total atheists and agnostics can research and connect the dots to the origins of the Christian faith, it's not far off for you to do that, too. You already have that advantage over them, being a Christian yourself. Just continue your journey in the truth, you will understand why that phrase is said. We are all on this continuous journey with you, even us Catholics who are already "home".

​​The image on the shroud shows how the arms look elongated, because in order to fit Jesus' arms and legs to the nail holes, they had to dislocate his arms and legs.. that's one point

@@joemarino5141 thanks so much for your response! Just if there are any studies or defenses regarding the Man's height being "taller than a normal Jewish man". I find that's the biggest hang up for me, personally! Along with the hair.

@@TheMoreYouSew I made a response but it disappeared. The "taller than a normal Jewish man" was addressed in Stevenson & Habermas' 1981 book "Verdict on the Shroud" (and later books by them as well). Long hair (which is a relative term) is not an issue either. The OT is full of examples of Jewish men with long hair. If you google Barrie Schwortz's website (KZbin does not allow listing URLs) and use the the built-in search engine, put in "long hair" and you will find various references to it.

Hey there! Yeah, we unfortunately ran into some connectivity issues for Joe Marino, and I actually did trim up quite a bit in terms of the delay and such.
