Found your channel the other day and I've been working my way through the videos. Some really great stuff on here, thanks! Quick question about clipping up; I've always been a bit wary of clipping up in open water for fear of losing me rod... Am I just being daft or is there anything I should keep an eye out for?

If I need to clip up in open water i tend to finish the cast with the rod well behind my head so that I've got a couple of meters of spare line should a fish run.

Hi Rob I assume you vist with a Match fishing rod. How long is this? What type of scoop steel you have. He looks strong. El Nico

11ft match rod and a size 16 b911 hook. If the rod is soft you can land fish quickly.
