I remember with the d4 interviews, every time they were asked questions, they'd do 5 min of mental gymnastics to say "no it isnt gonna be like that", or "we won't have that". Servers day 1 will be inaccessible imo. A bunch of streamers are urging their community not to take days off at launch and instead later if they are planning to do that at all as not to waste them. Every new league poe 1 is unplayable on the 1st and sometimes 2nd day, this will probably face connection issues for the 1st week at peak hours.

I don't think they were expecting as huge a response as they've had. Last I looked it was the 3rd top selling game on steam, for what's essentially an early access beta test. They likely haven't provisioned enough resources and are scrambling to get more up and running lol. That's a nice problem to have though!

6 Thousand hours in this game and I've never seen a mirror drop, I've been able to acquire them through trade but never have I felt the feeling of one actually dropping. Why I love this game so much for things like that.

yup it's not even remotely close. PoE2 will be FREE with all of it's content, and huge updates and everything... the EA has more content than all of D4 including the xpac. it's unbelievable that they're this many worlds apart in terms of quality, content and care.

The D4 community is a big reason why D4 the way it is. D4’s community doesn’t want hard pinnacle bosses. The D4 community thought Uber Lilith was too hard, so the fight has been nerfed so many times to take away all difficulty. Many in the D4 community is against a completely open economy for some odd reason. They think it reduces RMT, yet every D4 season has a crazy amount of RMT even with account bound items after use (temper/masterwork).

That bit at the end about the Ranger's roah mount actually made me a little excited about Ranger for one reason: making an actual mounted, outrider knight build for a ranger. An actual mounted archer. It's not really a fantasy that is first on my list, but the fact that it might be possible is very unique for an arpg.

DoT cap was 35.8mil in POE1 and it was due to a technical limitation because they were using a 32-bit signed integer for damage values. I doubt they will have damage numbers anywhere near that at the start of POE2.

The continued hyperfocus on crafting and crafting currencies (and plan on adding even more systems and currencies over time) is a big disappointment. I don't get why people enjoy grinding for the privilege to get rng currencies so that they can spend it to rng craft (i.e., gamble). Miss me with that. Oh damn, so no res at endgame in multiplayer. I do hope they eventually allow that though as part of a specific Ascendancy, because it's vital IMO to allow for support builds to exist for people who want to play that role with their friends. I don't think it would be all that detrimental either like it can be in an MMO where people will simply refuse to do content without the OP support class, because they are balancing the game so you can go solo anyway.
