Thank you. I think it's disrespectful do be playing "music" like that all the time in those tunnels. Doing that at night just adds weigh too much to the temptation to rob people with it blasting so nobody can hear them scream. It's horrible! The idea of partying down there is also totally out of line. Yes, those bones are there, and they're dead, but those souls are alive. They know what's going on. I know that might sound totally crazy, but I've had two near-death experiences. I definitely know that the soul lives on after this body wears out.

It’s unfortunately common for “tour guides” to abandon you in the catacombs if you are a foreigner to France, my best advice to anyone outside of Paris wanting to go to the catacombs, make sure you find a legit tour guide. Not someone off Instagram, your begging to be robbed and abandoned at that point😂 there are many legit tour guides who will take you to the illegal tunnels but they are a bit tricky to find.

There was a group that was truly deep in the catacombs - 20 miles when they got ditched. 20 MILES! Hours and hours. They found their way back by backtracking on their video camera which thank goodness they were rolling the whole time. Glad you got out. Lots of catacomb experts will leave you there. I just can't imagine who would do that. Sick people for sure. Good thing you didn't get pictures of skulls and bones - that's hours and hours in the catacombs 14 hours and would have NEVER gotten out without a guide or camera to backtrack. Fishy that the cataphile didn't even tell you what to wear and bring - not a good sign. Thank goodness that guy helped you. I've seen you tubers that run into people that won't even help them. They just laugh it off and leave. Who does that!!! Thank God you are ok. Lesson - do not go into the catacombs!

Does it really have any use to exhaust your energy screaming like girl in there. What helps is to have good visual memory and remember exactly the path you came from. Also you can think about which people you trust and how fast. This guy found this one person from Instragram and hadent known him for that long time, but still decided to trust him anyway, while they were so new in the relationship. People who you have known for longer time become gradually more trustworthy, so you should think about before trusting somebody this fast you havent even known for that long time.

For those that don't know the reason music is typically played is because there are actually police that go down there quite frequently and give tickets and usher people out....which in some cases is a life saver even if it costs, but for others it's a nuisance or trip ender 🤷‍♂️.....so to differentiate the different types of footsteps coming towards you people play music. ☝️The tricky part is whether or not the Catafile is friend or not....some, as you see, are not so friendly and even violent if they see tourists, especially youtubers or just cameras in general.

tourists get lost in the Catacombs frequently, there are rescue groups that go down there every so often. Guide must be fucking dense going down there to abandon them. Shout out to that rescue guy if he's legit.

I'm French and I'm used to go to the Catacombs. The guy who rescued them is a friend of mine. He is a pretty chill and cool cataphil who is accustomed to going there by its own ability. Meeting people blating music very loud there is a very random thing, as we (cataphils) do it quite often (in group or alone for those who are autonomous). There is a lot of people gathering down there every weekend but also during the week (for graffiti session or else). So I can assure you that the rescuer WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT part of the robbery plan. He told me about this story before I saw this video (which I did only today haha). Also, the place where these guys were lost is just next to a "room" (we call this kind of place which is not a gallery a "room", a place where you can sit down and chill) called "La plage" ("The beach") because of the huge graffiti of waves on the wall. It is a very popular place where cataphils can meet quite often as it is a famous crossing point, so no surprise to finally meet someone there. :)

King Sloth it's a phonological change between regions, in the same way grass, bath and after have different pronunciation. Both seem to be correct. It isn't in anyway wrong though, Oxford English dictionary also have it pronounced Cata-cooms too. Each to their own I suppose!
