yeah the police were never gonna get involved over that. to be honest that's one of the main things that deters me from extended van travel - security, or the lack of it. I've been robbed multiple times over the years whilst travelling.

For future if u have any issues like those please call 19 is national emergency 🆘 due to the tower phones it will be redirected to the main police station in the city where u are. For you case police will be sent to inspect and take ..... long story in short is investigating and then will ask u to make a report a translator will be in the police station to make sure that communication is reciprocal. Otherwise you can head to the police station by your self then gonna help you ( note: keep the crime scene clean to they can have some leads). Please foreigner in Morocco are privileged due to a lot of reason. I m sorry that you have been stolen but that is life.

I'll never go back to Morocco. Had a bad experience there with my mate back in the early 1980's. We had a dispute with locals trying to sell us drugs and even a father offering his daughter to us. Made me sick to the core. Then at night when we went to the hotel complexes for some nightlife, they came out of the woodwork in their hundreds. Luckily we met some more like minded holiday makers who were having similar issues, so safety in numbers. But there are many stories I could tell you from that trip. Apparently the real Moroccan people live in the Atlas mountains, they are the Berbers and the real deal, we didn't meet any. Just look at that beach you are at, it's a dump, litter everywhere. Don't understand why folks want to travel there when all they want is to get here.
