As one of the most emulated blues players of our time, Robben Ford’s impeccable soloing techniques, phrasing and tone have been the subject of several books and videos, but for the first time, Robben brings his smooth and tasty rhythm playing to the forefront in this DVD.
He explains and demonstrates dozens of blues rhythm concepts and techniques from 12-bar shuffle blues rhythms to mixing in jazz chords to blues comping. Robben also takes you through several of his tunes showing his chord voicings, rhythms, and right-hand picking/finger techniques. Robben also answers questions about double-stops, his guitars, recording, and road gear. Also includes a 39-page printable PDF with examples and transcriptions. Robben has been offering masterclass clinics for several years to a very select and limited number of students. We’re happy to present this DVD to allow guitarists everywhere to be a part of this unique experience.

"My father was a young professional musician" - PAUSE - "for not too long" What a kind soul, the delicacy, the class and elegance he conveys a message is formidable...and he can transfer all that to the music! It's true for me, to be a nice musician you have to be a nice human being first... Love you and your music Robben!

A 57 Goltop and a Fender twin . Legendary clean and mild overdrive tones. Gibson and Fender make a great pairing . A Gibson Humbucker in the bridge of a strat ot the neck of a Tele is Tonal heaven. Even modern Gibson pickups will create that tone in a Strat or Tele. Doesnt have to always be vintage despite the cork sniffers telling you otherwise . Many of whom have no ear of their own to begin with . They listen with their eyes and often their wallets . Many say 70s Gibsons are far inferior to the Golden era 50s to mid 60s Gibsons but i heard many players get Great tone from late 60s and 70s Gibsons . Angus Young with his 1968 and 1971 Sgs. Randy Roads and his 74 les Paul Custom . Jimmy Page with his 1971 Double neck and his 1970 Les Paul Deluxe converted to a Standard . Pete Townsend with his Late 60s and very early 70s Sg specials and his 70s Lp Deluxe. Robertson and Gorham of Thin lizzy sounded fantastic on their 1973 LP Deluxes especially after they replaced the mini buckers in those guitars. PAFs for Robbo and Dimarzio for Scot. Alex lifeson was a tone machine with his 1968 ES 335 the 1976 ES 355 the two 1976 double necks and his 1970 and 1972 Lp Deluxes that were factory converted to standards . Alot of People rocked 70s LP customs and the 1976 and 77 Explorer reissues . Dean Deleo of STP has a couple of 78 Lp standards that sound fantastic. Very Twangy sounding . Slash still rocks an 87 standard he bought as a factory second in 1987. Still brings it on tour . It started out as a cherry burst but he had it refinished with the same Finish as the Chris Derrig Appetite Guitar . Before going vintage in 2011 Joe Bonamassa was playing modern Gibson custom shop les pauls with Good old ordinary stock Gibson Burstbuckers 2 and 3 and an R9 with A 1963 Gibson Early Patent number bucker in the Bridge and they all sounded amazing especially his first signature LP Which was the first Goldtop with BB2 and BB3. One of the best souding modern les Pauls i have heard

Stunning musician. I'm not so keen on blues, but Robben take it to another level. And I can't forget his jazz record with Joe Diorio or Pop POp POp with Rickie Lee Jones...tremendous solos both electric and acoustic. A real master!!!!

@@Enrique_Guitar I kind of was off ...was not supposed to be 11 just 3rd so in blues like example not great but the chord did sound cool on its own .... but flipping 3rd to top good on blues stretchy chord but sounds good with the 1/2 step right next to eachother

I would like to purchase one of your Blues guitar courses, but I have a question before proceeding. To follow his lessons, do you need to buy Guitar Pro, or does he provide videos with tablatures and all the necessary explanations without necessarily having to buy this software? And I would like to ask you which course you recommend me to buy Thank you very much for your reply
