He was on a mini-tour of some Hawaiian venues way back in the 80s with us when I played with Gary Puckett for awhile. The band Orleans was on the bill as well. Talk about some great voices & some nice people. Good times!

I was privileged to be with him (keyboards, sax/flute) in a very tight band that included his brother Brian on drums for over a year in the 80s. We played some memorable shows, but Gary got an offer he couldn't refuse when the Monkees reformed & he went on tour with them. The Grass Roots rhythm section was the backing band for all the famous vocalists who did their hits minus their own personal bands. As for Robbie Dupree: he sounded great and was a sweet guy as I remember.
