Robbie Williams - "Last Days of Disco" (Glitter Mix)! A Myleslandia Video Mix by Myles Matisse!
I've always loved Robbie's song, "Last Days of Disco" and thought it should've not only been a single but made into a retro disco "Studio 54" type music video with Robbie surrounded by the actual Studio 54. The premise could've been him being there from opening night onwards. As the video goes along, more scenes of Robbie at the club through the years until it eventually closed would've been really cool. Hire a cast full of disco dancers with actors portraying the owners Steve Rubell, Ian Schrager and Mark Fleischman, with Robbie the troubled disco king, dancing and partying through the years at Studio 54. I say it's never too late for Robbie to actually make that music video NOW and re-release the single. But, since that probably won't happen, I found lots of Studio 54 footage as well as the ONLY performance I could find of Robbie performing "Last Days" and that's from one of his streaming bits.
I love the groove and dance feel of the song so much, I always hoped for a proper, over the top, floor filling DISCO remix. Next best thing was finding an instrumental version of the song that I extended just a bit, mixed with the regular version and using footage from Studio 54 mixed with Robbie. It's my favorite version of the song. At an epic DISCO length, I love how all the footage and Robbie work. My favorite bit is Steve Rubell at the end. Gives me goosebumps. Hope you enjoy! Much love to Robbie for making this track so glorious. Now, it's EXTRA glorious! - Myles

LAST DAYS OF DISCO Lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Stand by me
I've been stood by you for ages
Stay calm and carry on
Maybe nothing's wrong
[Pre-Chorus]
Is it the comfort of disinformation or
Is it the freedom that you fear?
Said I'm the angel of liberation, love
For a second, I believe her
[Chorus]
I'm all you'll hear, ah
While you're here, ah
[Post-Chorus]
Don't call it a comeback
Look what I invented here
I thought it was easy
They came and took it away from us
The last days of disco
[Verse 2]
All raved out
Bitter is the pill of devotion
Read between the noise
All you disco boys (All you disco boys)
[Pre-Chorus]
The fascination of a boy and girl in love
For a second, I could see her
In the mirrorball, the human animal
I'm the creature that I fear
[Chorus]
I'm all you'll hear, ah
While you're here, ah
[Post-Chorus]
Don't call it a comeback
Look what I invented here
I thought it was easy
They came and took it away from us
The last days of disco
The last days of disco
The last days of disco
[Instrumental Break]
[Chorus]
I'm all you'll hear, ah
While you're here, ah
[Post-Chorus]
Don't call it a comeback
We'll hold an event in here
This space is beautiful
I'll decide when it is over
So don't call it a comeback
Look what I invented here
I thought it was easy
They came and took it away from us
The last days of disco
The last days of disco
The last days of disco
