Thanks so much for the great tips Greg. Was it a sit on top, or an enclosed hill kayak? I find the sit on toos like mine are quite good, but the enclosed hull kayaks are terrible for my back.
@gregm959 Жыл бұрын
It was actually a sit on top, same as yours, even had a good seat. The rowing action was the issue, need to invest in a pedal kayak. BTW, you can use that repellent tip in a vid if you wish. Very handy. Rod Harrison told me once that they used thick coconut tanning oil in New Guinea for the bugs, they stick to it and die, just scrape em off after a session. Cheers mate @@robbiefishing

Another enjoyable watch. I recently got a 5kg baitcaster and am wanting to get on to some natives. Is 50lb braid not too heavy for a 6kg rod? What is the correct weight for a 5kg rod? Also, what do you do if you snag? 6lb line breaks off when targeting trout. The heavier line would make this a bit harder. Not to mention to cost of native lures.
@robbiefishing Жыл бұрын
Hi mate, I use 50lb braid with my 6kg baitcaster rod and have no problems. I don't know what the recommended weight is. Basically, the heavier the line the less lures you lose. If you use too heavy it may effect the swim pattern of the lure. I find 50lb to be a good balance.

Hi mate, I am using the smallest one. I think it's 110mm. It's not that big, unlike most lures OneWell include the bib in their measurements. The 110 is great for cod and yellowbelly, but if you're after big cod in bigger waterways you may want to choose a bigger size.
