I don't know whether it was triggered by the Knebworth documentary or Liam's current success, but Noel seems to talk about Liam with less anger these days. He sounds reflective and almost affectionate and mentions Liam more and more in interviews. It's a bit sad when you consider they haven't had an actual conversation in 12 years.

He has mellowed now. In the past he described himself as a "right c@nt you really would not want to be around" which is a big part of why the band split up. Which he did deliberately. Control - he has to have it and he could not dominate Liam, so he shut it down. Killed the biggest band in recent history - so yes, a bit of a c$nt.
@kifwoo13 жыл бұрын
@@Spartanm333 Liam is a moronic man child buffoon. That's what destroyed the band. Touring and recording with a 5 year old will do that to the musical and lyrical brains behind the band. Noel got fed up babysitting a baby.
@kifwoo13 жыл бұрын
@@Spartanm333 P.S ... nowhere NEAR the biggest band in recent history. Not even in the UK nevermind the globe as a whole.
@Spartanm3333 жыл бұрын
@@kifwoo1 Wrong. You need to listen and learn to read. The whole band got up to antics including Noel who has admitted he took every drug and tablet that was offered to him. That's rock and roll. At the studio, Liam was a dream, one take he smashed it. Noel killed the band because he didn't want to share the toys with his baby brother who was a better front man, better singer, more stylish, more media pull and critically, more liked by the fans - he has said this as a matter of record. He thought he didn't need Oasis any more... his solo career has proved that a mistake. And it was Liam and Bonehead's band originally. Noel was late to the party, a roadie at 28. Together they created magic, we all can agree on that. Noel acted like a spoilt, arrogant twat in the final years and he ended Oasis - my point.

Yes, RB is very very experienced host these days and knows just what he's doing. I suspect with a little extra polish he could have a good extra career as an interviewer, using that must be a very extensive list of people he knows both socially and through his WILTY role. With his quirky humour and impression ability to liven things along a bit it could a whole lot of fun. The key is gaining trust from your guest/interview subjects and Rob has that ability in spades. As we see here - Noel is confident and relaxed in his familiar surrounds and able to be no-one but himself. Brilliant.
