I was just thinking if it was me I would driving like I was in a school zone . I have that kinda luck that would make someone step out in front of to pick up the dog and then act like a deer in the headlight . I would slam on the breaks swerve as the tires break off and run them down after they had been clear of the road for five minutes. Other than that it has always looked fun . And the video is much better than I can do in my car while trying to hold my phone locking up the brakes for a pit hole that sounds like the whole suspension was cramped into my trunk . And that's at five miles an hour or forty dogging logging trucks that are in their own really just the opposite direction . . That Hummer is smooth compared to my car , I can't imagine why . Maybe I need some upgrades .

Robby has come a Long way since I first met him & his Dad 35 years ago when he ran Jim Venabil’s ‘66 F-100 “ Hay hauler “ I was pitting at that time for team Nissan’s Rick & Roger Mears team, and afterwards met them at Estero Beach campground facilities . I think Robby placed in top 3 that year finish wise. I will never forget watching most of the other drivers pass our pits at a modest pace & then along comes This Ford flat out , throttle pinned wide open as he flew past our pit about 3 feet or more in the air. That moment is permanently etched into my memory. Thanks For all the years since of watching your various racing escapades .

@Thomas Engrav Yep, SB2 based 355. 11k rpm, vs the standard 7k or so from the other engine programs. This video, doesn't sound like the engine from the unicorn though, rpm are much lower.
@Ferrari333SP Жыл бұрын
@@TheMrmottoh What are the advantages of this engine, versus the lower revving ones of his competitors?
@TheMrmottoh Жыл бұрын
@Thomas Engrav That is quite a lengthy discussion, really. Driving style plays a roll in engine development, as well as vehicle development. Robby builds his trucks different, they are actually mid-engine. Lower revs, more torque down low, easier to drive with power. Higher revs, more wide open, momentum becomes more important. Preference, driving style, budget, and truck development all play a roll in an engine program.
