Apart from his windsurfing skills, what sets Robbie apart is humbleness and being down to earth. The hallmark of greatness.

Robby in tune with The Ocean. I saw him in 1983 in Scheveningen. The World champion....Managed to get an autograph, a true treasure for a 13 Year old dutch kid. And now seeing this: wow...big smiles and respect. Love from The Netherlands

Hi Robby !! I'm 61 windsurfer since 1977 and have been following you since you were 13!! Nice to see you in such a good shape and always riding like that!!! Friendly Richard from France 👍😎🇫🇷

I started windsurfing 30 years ago. Robby was tearing it up then. To watch him now as an ole dude still enjoying the sport puts a smile on my face. I converted to kiting 20 years ago at 64' I only ride Naish gear. Thanks, Robby for all the R&D, my pivots are magical.

In 1990 I was a 10 year old kid an watched a young Robby shredding waves on the TV, now 30 years later I watch him and he is still shredding like a young gun. That's so cool🤙😀 keep on surfing🏄♀️

Robby Naish is a legend and I admired him so much when I was a much younger wavesailor. Met him at Ho'okipa once, and he was happy to have a chat & sign an autograph when he was a world champ. As was Jason Polakow. meanwhile, couldn't get a hello from Dunkerprick . . .

Hi Robby, I am 66 and have watched your career develop from the time you won your first world championships in 1976. In 1975 at Association Island I met Matt Schweitzer who was racing in the US Nationals, which he won. I was dinghy racing sailing in the Albacore Worlds. I was lucky enough to take up sailing the Tencate windsurfer developed by Matt’s Dad, Hoyle. Little did I know how windsurfing would take off globally. Were you at Association Island in 1975. I remember there was a Hawaiian guy with a surfboard who had screwed a tencate rig to it and was going considerably faster than anyone else but was not allowed to race as the Tencate was a one design windsurfer with wooden boom and an annoying mast slot that would just pop out. I have to say you are a Waterman Legend and a gentleman. I like the way the kids in the video asked if you were Robby Naish and you had time to chat to them...

Saw Robby at Zandvoort, The Netherlands, by accident actually. After the race somewhere end of October. He was second (if I remember well). Made a mistake and lost his first position. But wind was above 100km/h and the way he 'repaired' his mistake was amazing. No women was able to finish because of the wind... And Robby corrected his mistake with such an ease only a born champ can. And I can hardly surf myself ;-) ....

I saw the famous move again Robby!!! The famous Donkey Kick. The first one i saw in Zandvoort (Holland) on a Mistral prototype Naishboard. A white board with a simple bleu striping with a length of 3 and half meters!!! Can you imagine? Or was the name of that jump an “ Table Top” ? Greeting from Holland.
