+deadstarlights The Rp1000 is a cool rig but older tech/pre merger with Harmon (Harmon Kardon, JBL, Crown, Infinity) company. Now after the merger the quality level has gone way up and the cost of the RP360 is reasonable for a beginner. And that is what these multi effects are really geared to, a beginner to find their tone and learn with. Makes great xmas gifts for a youngster! If someone has more money to burn, just get a real pedal board loaded with pedals to taste, or get a Line 6 Helix if you wish to geek out on the computer, or a more affordable Fender Mustang Floor. I personally can not justify spending that much on a product made in China.

To be fair I play live with a Marshall Jvm205h, and 4x12 Marshall cab with Morley wah and boss tuner, noise suppressor, boss delay and a boss chorus. All great gear but pedals like the mooer are absolutely fantastic for getting those "Wembley" stage type tones at home and at low volume so you can practice with all the glory of valve type sounds at bedroom volume. I use these type of things to practice with at home all the time. They are brilliant for a seasoned musicians practice tool and to newbies alike looking to practice their Wembley type tones before they splash the cash on the real deal equipment. I think I'm going to buy one!!

I'm a slightly more experienced guitar player and I bloody love these little multi-FX pedals. Sure, their amp sims are generally rubbish, but they're good for fringe effects like phaser, chorus, flanger, tremolo, etc. that I would use in maybe one or two songs per set. Saves a load of money on pedals I'd barely use plus precious pedalboard real estate.

Me and a buddy of mine did do a cover with me recording on my POD, him on his Zoom. There is a noticeable difference between the two, but I do feel that they work well together for what we needed at the time. Though the lack of features on the "minimum" POD is a bit of a turn off. I have (had) some covers on my channel, but they just stagnated due to my POD footswitch dying on me. Not having that footswitch is quite a minus for functionality. I don't really have a preferene to one brand or the other, I just use equipment that is good for what I need it to do.

From my experience, it is decent for beginners. But the sound quality isn't nearly as good as my cheapest pedalboard ($300 with 6 mini effect pedals a power supply and mini board). The GE100 lacks clarity and is a bit muddy. But then again this is under $100.

I picked one up hardly used for £30 played guitar for years got lots of pedals etc, got this mainly for Looper, I’m not bothered about amp or cab sims built in but handy just for another unit with plenty of built in FX, some decent sounding OD’s, Distortions, modulation FX you can’t fault it, some nice enough delays and reverbs, all added extras for me to use with all other gear I have, for £30 you can’t buy a decent individual pedal so I got a steal for the amount of features in this, nice and small and light to fit in pocket of guitar case and if it gets stolen then not lost much, ideal for practice or rehearsal and can’t be bothered taking loads of gear every time, nice for general ease and playing occasional pub gig and having few nice effects when just me playing. Can’t grumble at all, sounds good with bit of editing, and worth more than £30 I paid. Beginner guitarist really have got it made with so many features that so good at such low prices nowadays.

I have my best and most expensive amp and cab in the living room now. I seemed to do more playing in the living room than in the guitar room, so swopped with the modelling amp. The amp is a Suhr Badger 30 with matching 1x12 cab. It sounds amazing but it is a boutique amp and was not cheap by any means, so it should sound blood good. However, it does not have reverb. So I use the Mooer GE100 for delay and reverb. Now the big advantage of having a great sounding amp is that even the cheapest, most crappy guitar you can find sound like a Custom Shop guitar thru this amp. And, YES the GE100 pedal sounds amazing thru the amp too. I have a pedal board with a few more expensive pedals on it and the GE 100 effects sound as good (some actually sound better). This is one hell of a bargain pedal. It does everything and it does it well. The pedal is plastic, but I have had it for well over 7 years and it is still going strong.

Some great features on that, I especially like that it has an expression pedal. I can see it being good for portable practice when you'd need to use headphones. As part of a beginners amp setup, though. I 'd recommend something like a blackstar TVP ID:15 over this unit *and* an orange crush. P.S. I really dig Mooer's mini-pedals. also...judging from the shine, that dog's behind has been through a lot.

I've just purchased one of these so here's my thoughts: Pro: Quality of the effects is better than I expected with very usable Delay,Reverb,Chorus etc Plenty of user spaces to store patches Easy to create new patches Rhythm options not too shabby - good for play along at least. Really good value for what it does (try buying a separate Delay/Chorus for the same price) If you want say clean plus a distortion option you can set the mode to the distort section and switch on and off in a "live" situation - otherwise you would need two adjacent patches to toggle between. [Edit - there is a sound gap during on/off switching so maybe separate patches are better?] Con: Expression pedal next to useless as it changes mode at full extent AND there's a glitch in the signal as it does so! [Edit: You can stop this by pressing hard down at the EXP part of pedal set up - solves the problem] When saving patches they are numbered per the built in patch selected when editing i.e P01 becomes U01. You probably won't use built in patches if you don't want heavy distortion. Haven't seen any way of bypassing the unit other than creating a patch with no effects whatsoever. Recommendation: Good quality for the money - happy with the purchase. Usable live if you edit the patches accordingly otherwise a great rehearsal tool.
@MarkyPaligs5 жыл бұрын
I have the same pedal before. I think the P stands for Presets, as in standard factory presets, and U stands for "User", like User presets. There's two sections of effects, Default presets and user presets that can be customised, which is convenient. And also, the Expression Pedal isn't useless, it's actually pretty okay. You just need to calibrate how hard you have to step down on the expression pedal for it to activate. I just figured it out within 5 minutes of playing around with the pedal, i'm sure those should be on the manual as well as I skipped some pages.
@xdrcx5 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to set it up so you have a clean tone when the pedal is 'off', but when you push the pedal on it has a distortion sound?
@LogiForce869 жыл бұрын
I recently bought a Mooer Shimverb and a Blues Crab and I must say that this company makes some great pedals for a great price. Of course you can get that holy premium tone for that premium price, but when you start out with guitar (like I do) and just start expanding your tone with your first pedals... Mooer is a great brand to start out. You can try out many different great sounding pedals without breaking the bank. Down the line you can always start to invest in a more premium solution. Especially when your identity crisis is over about what tone and type of music you wish to play. I am still in that transitional period. :p
@timnoble41375 жыл бұрын
What Cap & Chap did not touch on is you can record a loop, play over it and record, and then add as many additional licks as you like. The bummer is you lose it when you power down the Mooer. And the screen is huge. Best I have seen on any multi fx.

Secretly wishing that this was around when I bought my Line6 POD2. Things have been quite lonely since the FBV4 I had died.

Sometimes I play my Pacifica (though not at the moment cos my Dad stole it) and wonder why other guitars exist. If the Swiss Army had guitars, they'd be Pacifica's.

Considering my first FX was a Zoom 505, back when ~£100 cost a lot more, this is a fantastic starter item for a new guitarist with so much more functions than the likes of I had. The only thing wrong with it, for the price, for its type, is that ever so silly name. What kid is going to be keen to answer their friends with "Yeah, I've got a Mooer"?

Great video nice to see you use gear that's all roughly in the same sort of price range. Personally id have gone for a micro terror and matching cab which would save you 70 odd quid on the 35w combo you picked, still nice to see all that functionality and quality for under £500 pounds.Great for bedroom artists and beginners tho keep it up mon capitan.

Lot of features packed into such a cheap and small pedal. It doesn't sound amazing, but not horrible, either. Great practice pedal with the looper and drum machine.

Streets ahead indeed! Nice to see some cheaper gear, paired up with cheaper gear. Pairing a pedal like this with something like a Fender and a Mesa Boogie kinda defeats the purpose

Multi effects pedals are the smartphone of the music world. You don't even need an amp anymore. I would say playing these through modern digital surround sound systems makes the guitar sound better than ever to me. I wonder if they make one with a optical out? A searching I go....

Looks like the Line 6 AMPLIFi TT has an optical out

Nice little pedal! I never heard of this brand. Maybe that's because I live in the USA? Do we have these here? It also sounds like some of the heavier tones were meant to go "direct" and not into an amp. It might be just the thing to run an acoustic guitar into a PA system, adding just a little verb, compression and EQ, and to have a real time foot controlled volume. Perhaps it would be a great comparison to have entry level ZOOM, Digitech, _________ and _________ lined up to compare. All for around or under £100. (I'm in America.... I had to copy and paste the "£" as we don't HAVE that key on our computers! ha ha...)

They where the leading clone mini pedals before Tone City came on the seen. They have a line almost identical to T.C. They are still cheap where T.C. jacked up there prices from all the hype. I think the pedal designer from T.C. used to create for Moore....dont quote me.

Phlop Alopagus no you're right dude. In another video Captain states he believed the guy for tone city was ex mooer

that was some very tasty dirty blues Lee ... some nice tones on that box and a lot of features for people to experience a guitar processor for a low price. I would have rather had this product than that useless Line 6 Floor pod I bought in 07 for twice the price. egads
