I think the reason those cheap wheel bearings broke is because you probably didn't have a stub axle in it with a tightened nut. Good luck and greetings from the Netherlands

@SLay22474 жыл бұрын
Hey Rob, The bearing failure you adressed has nothing to do with cheap parts. The mechnism is called „false brinelling“ and it can even happen to brand new cars, just because the bearing is not moving.
@Koop2k4 жыл бұрын
Or the fact that there's no axle in there holding it together, rolling it around with the load all skewed will destroy it pretty fast.

It'll be like Sema '16, except with a running drivetrain. It'll probably be Sema '20 before we get the finished car, as Rob still has to go through all of the bodywork, which could potentially take even longer depending on the process that goes through; not to mention the second half of the fuel system, finding which turbo housing works best, tuning, other checklist items, and other potential items on the list. In the end it might be fully finished by Sema '21. My only expectations for Sema '19 are the running drivetrain and finishing up the important parts of the chassis, cooling, intake, and exhaust.

I am so incredibly impressed with how dedicated you are to this build. Not only that, the camera work, editing, finding parts, and making the relationships to further the build. It’s all an incredible amount of work even having time to throw in as much humor as you do! About 2 years ago I did 3 months of solid work till 2-3 in the morning every night to get my car done for a car show and I still haven’t finished editing those videos. Everything you’re doing is amazing and beyond impressive Rob, can’t wait to see the end result of all this dedication at SEMA!

Amazing metal fabrication skill! You guys are doing this great, big steps and small adjustments. That's how I know you guys are ahead of the others. Good plan and better execution. It is not easy to find this type of conntent quality in YT. It amazed me how small crew can do so much in such a short time. This is project is hard to finish because limited by so many factors, it is looks like almost imposible to finish but when you do it will be just history. I wish you guys all the best.

The stub axel that goes through the wheel bearing holds the wheel bearing together, your saying that the 30 dollar wheel bearing is a knock off cos it broke through improper use
