very cool stuff man. i hunt partridge, rabbit with a 22 aswell. , im from ns cape breton on the Rez, i live on the secluded outskirts of our area and my back yard is nothing but hills and tress that go on for miles. abouts near along the bras d'or lake , with many many hills, trees and trails , back roads and all that stuff. i live next to the Boundry lines and i have a few trap line trails of my own that i use to Walk along and hunt/sneer in the Winter . makes me want to Video my next hunt like you did.

i did my first grouse hunt this year, hit a few but i was never ever able to recover them. Still too green i think., they camoflauge too well. Maybe ccome back and try later in the season when the trees are more yellow, easier to spot. I had huge trouble locating them after i shot them. I could tell i hit them because feathers would go flying .. they use that last bit of life energy to make a move where i cant find them. Any tips for this? @robert badine

Good hunt, we have to use a shotgun, so I use a .410. Glad to see you use the whole bird, so many just take the breast and throw the rest. Poor old timers used them like pigeons, even if they took the lesser portions and made soup. Have you ever made a Burgoo?

He had explained in a previous video that a lot of people do that, but that there is still more to the chicken that gets wasted. And he was saying if you pluck them fresh is easier. I'm going to try plucking them this fall if i get some.
