Robert Black is the worst child killer in modern British history. Convicted of the abduction and murder of four school girls, he is widely expected of having murdered up to ten more in a ten year campaign of terror that murdered the meaning of childhood for a generation
In 1993 he agreed to be interviewed by the renowned sex offender process Ray Wyre. What emerged was a chilling insight into Black’s deadly modus operandi - and revelations that he had knowledge of the disappearance of many other girls

Because you are not him. The nature of an anti social disorder is almost from another realm where that what we find repulsive, could never do to another person, is not only normal but creates pleasure or gives their lives 'meaning'. Keep in mind that only a tiny percentage of such individuals turn to crime. The other 90% are the people we live with. Not all have bad intentions tho but nevertheless often very harmful.

I was severely sexually abused by a relative from 4 to 9 years old. I never became a sexual abuser, because I knew what it was, how it terrified me, it was terrible and life altering. What i did do was become an LVN/psychiatric technician who worked in maximum security forensic psychiatric facilities with Sexually Violent Predators (by diagnosis) serial killers and mass murderers. The very same criminal types who had abused me as a child. I was just fortunate enough to have survived.

Yes but you are not him. He was affected differently and was changed differently. No two humans are alike. We all have different brains and we are all wired differently. Not in his defense of course however, we must understand all of it if we ever stand a chance of preventing child abuse and murders of children. I was abused 3 times by two different people. I can't form relationships and I am a loner. I don't feel the need to be around people and I can't talk about what happened because the shame and the disgust oddly became what happened to ''him'' (me the 8 yr old child) in my mind so that I could live on in this horrible world. As long as ''him'' bears all the misery, I can live. I also have depression and I have very frightening bouts of derealization and depersonalization. I am an alcoholic (sober since 2007) and I am frequently out of work because I cant cope with pretending I am normal when I am actually highly dysfunctional. I want to live on an island with nobody around with my dog and my piano.

@@Dee-JayW I believe that to be true. I never married because I was always afraid I would perpetuate that cycle. I felt something inside of me that didn’t belong there and what you wrote seems to make sense. A genetic injection so to speak of the other’s rage or anger perpetuated in our family by parents and siblings that was never mine to bear. There is so much injustice on the receiving end of abuse and you tell yourself how wrong it is and how it’s unfair and then when you can’t or don’t speak up that silence produces so much shame and so much rage. It just festers.I love children and would never hurt either a child or a pet or anyone but under the right circumstances something deep inside of me tells me I’m not so sure and I believe that is the epigenetics you speak of, a memory that will never fade because it’s written in one’s DNA. That’s a great explanation. I’m gonna screenshot that because it really explains a lot for me and I bet so many others like me.

My mum (13) and Auntie (10) were going up to the chippy in Drighlington, it was night time and a white van drove past them on king street then turned around on kingsdale garden, she had clocked him and he was staring right at her while driving past, she thought it was strange then he turned around again and drove slowly this time but he had noticed that she was suspicious then turned back from kingsdale garden, my mum told her sister to slow down and not to walk to fast while outside the methodist church, my mums sister had no clue what was going on which my mum was greatful of, since she knew her sister would have froze and started crying. This is where he turned around again and drove past slowly, as he got to the side of them but on the opposite side of the road, my mum told her sister to run and they ran to their aunties house that was on kingsdale gardens. Luckily just up the road and when they got to their aunties, my mum banged on the door and screamed her aunties name and after she opened the door, she told her they were followed by a man in a van. Their auntie drove them home after scolding them for being out in the dark. When she was 17 she had just come home from work, the news was on and Robert Black's face was on TV, her heart sunk and she asked her mum who that was on the tv, her mum replied "why", my mum replied "because thats the man who followed us that night in the van when auntie took us home" her mum replied "he's the man that killed Sarah Harper" her mum was in shock.

I’m not condoning the actions of this man or others like him. But almost every serial killer ever was abused or neglected as a child. If a 5/6yr old is inserting objects into his own anus, that is absolutely a learned behavior. I’m imagining a terribly lonely and sad little boy who had no real sense of belonging. He didn’t even have someone who cared enough to bathe him and keep his clothes clean. You can’t blame children that young for their hygiene practices - or even for the other stuff he was doing. He was a baby. It kills me that children can suffer so horribly that it destroys them inside - and ultimately ends in somebody’s else’s destruction. And I realize that not every abused person will go on to do the same. But clearly a lot of them do. And this horrible cycle of destruction continues.... I wish everyone could experience the healing, redeeming love of CHRIST. HIS love is the ONE thing that can change anything or anyone. If you’re reading this now and you don’t know CHRIST as your personal savior - please pray to HIM now. HE has been patiently waiting to hear from you for a long time. But like a good father, HE never gives up on us. What do you really have to lose by saying a prayer?

I didn't like the For Psych's answer on what attracts adults to children, he basically said "just because"..I don't believe that for a second.

The " expert " when asked the question about why paedophiles are zoned in on children is a bit wishy washy for me Your not just talking about impulse control , sexual thoughts about the vulnerable is a perversion on every level and feeds itself in a escalation model

I don't much care for the guy David asks questions of, I think he's very contrarian throughout the series, and I think he's wrong on what makes a paedophile be attracted to children. It's not just an attraction you're born with. It is very often the case that the offender is abused at some point in their lives, and they essentially remain at that age mentally, therefore if for example someone is abused aged 5 or 6, there's a good chance they'd stay in that mental age in some way and quite likely remain attracted to kids in that age range.

Stop giving these low life's the time of day, I get u want a show but do it on something else not someone that's kills children. They already made themselves famous by doing what they did so yr going to keep making famous by a show about them, shame on you.

Yet you're here, giving them the time of day? 🙄 Have you ever wondered why we catch so many killers today? It's because people are aware and the professionals know how to catch them by studying these individuals... So believe me it's only people like you, who see them in a celebrity light and see people studying them as fans, every professional in this area of study, are working to stop these people, they see them as they are, dangerous offenders, who need to be studied, to catch more in the future. If everyone from the police to the public, just stuck their fingers in their ears and closed their eyes to pretend they didn't exist, that's how we get the next Bundy, Mary or should I say Cindy 😒😂

Attraction to a wife/husband is not the same thing as attraction children...men who dont really have a chance with a real women in reality are the ones who prey on a child...

That’s simply not true, and luckily that’s a well known fact in criminology - or the police would just leave out any married men from any investigations involving sexual abuse of children…

Wow you aren't very clever in criminology are you? Because if you were you'd know that in fact most pedophiles are actually most of the time married with children, so... 🙄
