The rhythm guitar player was my high school econ teacher! Mr. K, awesome guy who passed away a few years back.

There is so much soul in this guy's music, its hardly believable...he's one of a kind....i wish someone would post the entire show....as i recall, at the end of this show they played some previously unreleased songs from Stevie Ray Vaughan's last performance on ACL

Jeez...Tim Kaihatsu...haven't seen his name since the early Charlie Musselwhite days. He played a mean Tennessee Woman in the Louisiana Fog album.

So clean. Does Robert even use any effects ? Tim Kaihatsu fills in so perfect. Brilliant.
@jerryporter17003 жыл бұрын
I always wondered about that too...just a straight up clean sound..

No effects. I saw an interview once saying he didn't use any

I think this tune comes off his strong persuader album Of which I feel was an absolutely awesome album right from the first opening drum beat to the last guitar lick Robert Cray is every bit the super rich blues man as many of the masters before him I love listening to his music, and seeing him live even better❤️🔥

This is the first track off of "Midnight Stroll." He was touring in support of that album at the time of this recording.

I love his old stuff albums Midnight stroll and Sweet potato pie but have not been able to get into his new stuff. Maybe I need to listen more to it. Any recommendations out there for me?

I find his latest album kind of 'back to the good ole days'. Some Rainy Morning possibly my favourite album.

Cray's whole catalog is amazing. He has balanced sticking to roots while growing as an artist. Give it all a try!
