I can’t watch his films anymore, even the old ones that I liked, because when I see him my mind goes to that image of him giving his speech where he was screaming about Trump, with the vein popping out down the middle of his forehead and spittle flying from his mouth. He ruined it for me with his real world antics, and that’s the only way I can see him now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

DeNeiro is a great actor and I like his movies. I don't like his politics. I'd still watch a movie with him in it if it was an interesting movie. I also don't condone cancel culture on either side of the sociopolitical spectrum. However, I can understand from a business perspective why a company would not want a figure who has pissed off a lot of people with his comments to be the star of a big project. I think it's probably a number of reasons they don't want to hire him, not just his comments. Hollywood really doesn't like to take risks. That's why most of their output is safe and boring. How many remakes or sequels do we need?
