The truth is someone outside their comfort zone tends to act nervous, which draws attention to them, because it triggers instincts in the people around them, making them nervous. If you feel like you belong, you walk at ease and the people around you feel safer. We all have a genetic instinct for fight, flight or freeze, which is triggered by fear. If you trigger unease in someone (especially men) you can and push their fight instinct and they may confront the perceived danger.

Okay, since no one is _actually_ explaining it, here it is: First of all, women often find male anatomy to be visually unappealing, but they care about dimensions because the famous act is perceived through touch rather than sight. So, sweatpants are particularly alluring to them because they get the important information without the unappealing visual details (e.g. body hair and reminders of the hygiene issues some people have). It assists in the fantasy. So, the idea is that grey sweatpants provide more shadow detail than either dark (all shadow) or light (too reflective for shadows) sweatpants. Meaning, the claim is that men's packages can be more effectively viewed in grey than another color. And, if a guy were inclined to wear something particularly tight, the lady might catch a glimpse of the "print", being able to discern anatomical dimensions, and draw inferences from there. Again, assisting the fantasy.
@battiekoda29 күн бұрын
Wow! I never would have thought of that...... And I'm a black woman.

Personally, I find sweatpants to be sloppy. Like ZZ Top said, I'm crazy for a sharp dressed man. I have been known to admire a man's a$$ in a pair of fitted dress slacks.
@thecerpent25 күн бұрын
And on the other side of things, in the 2000s especially, it became popular for young women to wear these clingy, thin grey sweatpants when they'd go jogging or work out. And, yeah. Definitely didn't leave a lot to the imagination and definitely assisted the fantasy, as it were.

At about 16:00 he's dancing around it a lot, out of trying to be nice and I understand. What I think he's getting at is this: people in suburban communities see someone, regardless of color, that looks out of place and they will call the cops or band together to "protect their neighborhood" by trying to project strength through numbers. I work as a Sheriff's Deputy and get so many reports of things like "there's a meth head at the park across from my house!" Then I get there, make contact with the alleged "meth head", and it's just a guy that looks rough around the edges because he works a hard labor job and he's trying to sit in a park and relax and he's super nice. People in general are very visually judgmental. If you don't blend into your surroundings people tend to be nervous of you.

I sometimes thought maybe I should put a pair if jeans on, but decided that at my age I've earned the right to be comfortable if I want to! And maybe the gray sweatpants thing only applies to men? Love you! Thanks for another new perspective! Lol❤❤❤

Trying to explain the gray sweatpants things is like me trying to explain anything about her cell phone to my mother.

Did someone explain the sweat pants thing to y'all? It's because most men don't wear drawers with them and women can see everything. That's why we like them! 😂

I did not know until this episode that you were from Georgia. I'm a Georgia boy myself. I know exactly what you're talking about as far as Forsyth county goes well

I'm from dahlonega. The thing about Forsyth county is kinda weird. You probably know the history of it. Sundown town and all that. But now it seems to be more of a class thing. Used to work there and got all kinds of looks being a blue collar guy from the mountains.

This is my assumption to the grey sweatpants imagery. Well , when people are feeling down in gloom, they tend to wear loose clothing, like baggy jumpers and baggy sweatpants for comfortability within their docile and usually accompanied with a tub of ice cream. Just giving you a sympathetic picture. It's basically Ike just lay about clothing. So when they go out wearing these types of clothing accompanied with ug boots, it gives that image of not bothering or trying to lift your appearance because they are going through some sad news. There's nothing wrong in wearing these clothes outside so long as they are covered up.

Grey sweatpants equals a more visible outline to what you're working with. My initial thought but looked it up just to be sure.

Burr had a fivehead for a while before he went to a clean shave. He is one of the comedy goats for sure.
@charlesmartinjr3971Ай бұрын
I don't know, he may have skipped past the fivehead and moved straight to the sixhead.

I got maybe 5 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of boots, one pair of sneakers that I hate and a pair of Teva sport sandals. I cannot imagine having 50+ pairs of shoes. I also color coordinate my clothes but that's easy to do when you wear blue jeans and only own white, grey or black t-shirts. 😁
