I love it - and he does it quite often - how he can say something that sounds like the most narcissistic stuck-up thing ever, then pause, and turn away laughing at himself, covering/shutting his eyes in embarrassment. And I do think he does that naturally - it's clear he's joking, and then he goes "oh God, please shoot me, i'm an idiot" or something like that. A lot of people are convinced he really is narcissistic, but that laugh at himself shows he's not.

He is extremely correct -- I'm also of the opinion that the '09 Holmes characters are far truer to the books. I mean, it's said that Holmes could have been a professional boxer, etc, and Watson nearly gambled his life away after Afghanistan, where he was a decorated medical doctor etc, etc. Watson is NOT useless D; However, the good thing about this is that it's not just an actor trying to promote the film (-cough- Potter actors saying it's true to the books -cough-), it's actually true.

Is it just me, or does the press want the Downey's to have a kid more than them? lmao! Though personally, I love to see them procreate (wow, that sounds oddly creepy), With their combined looks, the baby would be gorgeous. And RDJ is such a proud Papa of Indio, to see him glow of pride for a little kid would just be so amazing :)

These movies are absolute garbage! They have no business calling this character Sherlock Holmes....Holmes is the antithesis of an action hero....he is an intellectual hero who shuns physical involvement....terrible treatment of the chsracter

Have you even read the books?!? Sherlock Holmes is a martial artist as described in the Sign of Four, and there is a reason why Doyle called the books "the ADVENTURES of Sherlock Holmes." A true Holmesian would know that! Or are you a fan of that BBC show "Sherlock?" Now THAT Sherlock Holmes is an insult to the Doyle character.
