Robert Mitchum is down on his luck, as his business partners force him out leaving him bankrupt. All he has left are his pilot license and small plane. By chance, he meets a good looking lady in an elevator. Later, he finds out that in addition to her looks, she's very rich . . . not to mention that she's been separated from her husband for a long time! Then, in an INCREDIBLE coincidence, he learns that he looks EXACTLY like her estranged husband!! Mary Jane Croft shows up in quite a few Suspense episodes. Later, she was Lucy's pal on TV's "The Lucy Show." Also, she married "Mr. Radio" (writer/producer/director/actor Elliott Lewis) after Cathy and Elliott Lewis called it quits. As I've mentioned before, 1947 just might be the best year for overall quality (story line, actors, music, etc) of all Suspense episodes! Buy the way this is a "re-upload," replacing my upload of 2017. I found out that on many tablets and phones, you can only find the latest few hundred uploads, and can't scroll through all of my 900+ programs. This is for those who somehow missed it.

Roberts brother was John Mitchum , character actor in tv and films probably best known as Frank de Georgio in the Dirty Harry series of films alongside Clint Easrwood , he appeared in a number of Eastwoods films , The outlaw josey wales , Paint your wagon etc , he was also a musician and a poet , His most notable work " America why I love her " was recorded and narrated by John Wayne in 1973 and was Grammy nominated . A thick set bulldog of a man , he bore little resemblance to his more famous sibling.
