There was a guy that spent 10 years researching Robert Palmer and he was going to write the biography .. I don't know whatever happened to him but a woman compared notes with him and she started doing a lot of research and she also wanted to write a book about him ... and never got around to it . That woman is the one who talks about the fact that there are a lot of lies about Robert Palmer out there making him sound like a womanizer when the truth is he spent 21 years married to his first wife and had his family traveling around with him for his shows ... then he spent 10 years with Mary Ambrose and again they had a very loving faithful relationship ... she still lives in Lugano Switzerland where they were living together and he is now buried there .

@@gardensofthegods Wasn't he engaged to a long-time girlfriend at the time of his death? NOT Mary Ambrose. So many conflicting stories about his personal life, incl drugs/no drugs. A truthful bio would be welcome.

@@mimlo7534 From what I recall they had been living together for quite some time and i can't remember if they were married or not but he was very faithful and if only i could find the woman who had all this info about him ...she made a lot of comments and i think if you go to some videos about Robert Palmer you will probably find her comments and yes there were a lot of nasty rumors about him but he was a family man and usually has his family with him when he was traveling whenever he could . There are some rotten people in the music industry who for some reason really had it out for poor Robert Palmer .

There is an interview RP did with Yorkshire Television on September 24, 2003 where he talked about his new music documentary, "My Kinda People", which showcases some of his musical influences. Sadly, it would prove to be the final interview he ever did, as a mere 48 hours later, he passed away from a massive heart attack at a Paris hotel.
