Let’s review why this is the ultimate version of this song: Robert Palmer’s next-level energetic delivery (far different than the album version); Max Weinberg’s surreally hard-kick drumming; a bassist who matches Max’s drumming with one or the tightest performances I’ve ever heard; horns that are impeccable; tight studio-grade vocals; audio mixing and production levels that are off the charts. In short, from the suits to the performance, this was seriously professional.

One of the best (and most accurate) comments I ever read about Mr Palmer was that he probably got out of bed in the morning, looked in the mirror, ran his fingers through his hair and thought "Yep" So much class, charm, sex appeal and sheer talent crammed into 1 body. Rest well Robert knowing you'll never be forgotten 💘💘💘

Love when Robert cracks up a bit during the last verse. I believe he was going to say another word other than "kissable". : ) Eddie Martinez is a beast on guitar. He worked with Robert on several albums and tours. I was fortunate enough to see Robert and Eddie together on three different tours. Three of the highest packed energy shows I have ever seen. When I saw him on the "Riptide" tour and "Addicted To Love" was blowing up the radio, Robert actually forgot the words to "Addicted" for a few seconds. He had the same reaction as here. He and a few other band members just laughed it off and he kept going. Not a whole lot of chatter from Robert between songs. The man and his band just came out and wailed for over 2 hours! Such wonderful memories! : )

"Well dressed man in rock n roll", that's great and all but what gets lost is the fact that this man was a talent. Great singer, played guitar and piano, wrote good songs and most of all.......the guy was a kick ass front man. RP was a really good r and b singer. I was a teen in the 80's and going back and listening to these songs(especially his early stuff, sneakin Sally, looking for clues, every kinda people) the man's voice was on point. Good stuff Mr. Palmer , You were one of the great ones!

I always found Robert Palmer to be a unique stylish front man waring a suit & tie with a short consecutive haircut his hard driving rocking music and vocals form Power Station through his solo career. I always said he resembled and was the Cary Grant of Rock n' Roll. R. Palmer's music was great and those early MTV music videos with those great looking girls propped up as his band in those videos were to die for.... Cool Live On Simply Irresistible - Robert Palmer RIP.

I love this performance! Absolutely raw talent, as good as it gets here! Crisp clean lyrics, sung well, so that every word is understandable, no mush mouth here, and on key, on tune, again, no autotune correcting, hitting every note pitch perfect--and on time with the driving beat of the song, the energy is there and dressed to the nines! A total package! Robert Palmer may he RIP--was a first class act--all around entertainer/singer and could wow the crowd. I miss him! So glad we have these recordings to remember him by----❤❤💋

John Messer Robert Palmer was rocking from the mid 1960’s (beginning at 15 yo with the Mandrakes) until his death in 2003. You can find videos of his early stuff on KZbin. Check out the group Vinegar Joe, the group he was in before going solo. He’s a thin guy with long hair as were many of the good guys back then. ( :
