Let’s review why this is the ultimate version of this song: Robert Palmer’s next-level energetic delivery (far different than the album version); Max Weinberg’s surreally hard-kick drumming; a bassist who matches Max’s drumming with one or the tightest performances I’ve ever heard; horns that are impeccable; tight studio-grade vocals; audio mixing and production levels that are off the charts. In short, from the suits to the performance, this was seriously professional.

Rest well Robert knowing you'll never be forgotten 💘💘💘

Love when Robert cracks up a bit during the last verse. I believe he was going to say another word other than "kissable". : ) Eddie Martinez is a beast on guitar. He worked with Robert on several albums and tours. I was fortunate enough to see Robert and Eddie together on three different tours. Three of the highest packed energy shows I have ever seen. When I saw him on the "Riptide" tour and "Addicted To Love" was blowing up the radio, Robert actually forgot the words to "Addicted" for a few seconds. He had the same reaction as here. He and a few other band members just laughed it off and he kept going. Not a whole lot of chatter from Robert between songs. The man and his band just came out and wailed for over 2 hours! Such wonderful memories! : )

Great singer, played guitar and piano, wrote good songs and most of all.......the guy was a kick ass front man. RP was a really good r and b singer. I was a teen in the 80's and going back and listening to these songs(especially his early stuff, sneakin Sally, looking for clues, every kinda people) the man's voice was on point.
