Jimmy and John Paul were the sophisticated talents on the London scene. Robert and Bonzo were the raw talents from the Midlands. Robert and Bonzo so close personally. Musically the magic came from the raw and the sophisticated I think.

I was in Worcestershire, England at the Bonham Memorial concert yesterday, they played a video of this filmed from the side of the stage...they panned to the crowd once or twice too...😊

Plant is a legend no doubt and it’s not fair to compare this to a typical Led Zep performance. Like Plant said, it’s about four amazingly talented guys performing the raw riffs, the tunes, the chords and the voices which made them Led Zeppelin. Nothing can compare to such performance. The three of them performing is the closest to reality I guess nothing more

It's already too late. JP so preoccupied with the feud over his house doubt he's picked up a guitar for a year or so. Nor would he contemplate leaving the house and going on tour unless things are resolved.
@davecarsley87735 жыл бұрын
@@Mike_Bacon_O.B.E. Bullshit. Page has wanted to tour for years, and so has Jason B and JPJ. It's all about Plant. I'm certain Page would have no problem paying someone to sit at his house and make sure no construction starts next door
@Mike_Bacon_O.B.E.5 жыл бұрын
Dave Carsley show me the latest footage of Page playing. Can you find anything less than 12 years old? As for the construction, I'm guessing you're not from the UK because if you were you'd know what I mean about Page's pre-occupation. He's in the papers, on TV, in court on a weekly basis. It's not about stopping the construction workers, it's about appealing and overturning the planning permission which requires his presence as defendant. When he's not doing that he's opening art galleries or museums. He's talked for years about plans for new music and every year promises new music 'this year' but never produces it. If he can't do that he sure as hell ain't going to do a world tour. He's 75, and has morphed into one of the cultured gentry. A couple of weeks ago he said he has spent more on the Tower House than the National Trust spend on many stately homes and will not stop campaigning to protect it until he wins. Like I said it's too late, accept it.

@@mthomas1973- Some people don't get that. John is dead, continuing Zeppelin in the long term would be a disservice to the music and its integrity.

p.Shit like this helps me remember how good Bonzo was and how good Zeppelin were. Don't say how you're moving on blah, blah and then proceed to play Zeppelin. Either play it with Jimmy and JPJ or play your country and western crap
@A_Final_Hit6 жыл бұрын
There's nothing wrong with Plant playing a few Zep tunes at his shows. He wants the freedom to play whatever he wants, as opposed to being boxed in by playing ONLY Zeppelin material, and dealing with the circus that a Zep 'reunion' would be. Personally, i greatly admire Plant's integrity for sticking to his guns, and following his inspiration down whatever musical roads it leads. The man put in his time with Zep, and that band ended almost 40 years ago. He doesn't owe anyone a damn thing.
@Mike_Bacon_O.B.E.6 жыл бұрын
I don't Have an issue with him playing Zep songs but I do have an issue with him doing it whilst simultaneously going on about how Zep was a snapshot in his life; it was music from his youth and he has now matured; don't want to be a karaoke....Blah blah. Acknowledge your legacy (and your band mates) or pack it in a box, put it on a shelf and leave it there.

@@Mike_Bacon_O.B.E. He does acknowledge his legacy, and his former bandmates, though that doesn't mean he has to play with them anymore.
