Being a Zep fan for 50 years, I can never tire of this song. I think the "experience" listening to this song is lesser with that slowed down final... I can be OK with the lack of wind instruments at the beginning, the guitar version is OK, but the final must be like the original one. Jimmy Page's guitar solo was performed admirably by the unknown guitar player, I'm sure that choir lady or background singer lady would've been able to hit those high notes and give the audience and us watching three years later a closer experience to the original version.

Exactly. Too many people expect to hear the record they remember. @geraldramsey4905 Жыл бұрын
I would not be one to say it sounds bad. Robert Plant sounds great - so awesome to hear him sing this in 2023, but there are a few glaring “wrong turns” taken by instrumentalists. Perhaps they didn’t rehearse this, I don’t know. But I think if I were ever in a band playing with ROBERT PLANT(!!), I would make sure we all knew the road map in order to be playing the same chords. It’s just surprising how loose this is in that regard. But hey, nobody could complain that this was over-rehearsed.

This is beautiful. Thank you all. I love everything Robert Plant has done. But Lord have mercy, those days in the 70’s!!!

I guess I can understand the negative comments. If you came expecting something similar from decades ago, you were probably very disappointed. I was interested in how he would interpret the song now, as a more mature man who has seen and experienced more in the ensuing years. I was not disappointed. The song took on a more introspective feel. Also consider this was a live performance at a charity event. The audio was not mixed and cleaned up. I was happy to hear him sing it again after so long.

I thought the raw and intimate nature is what made it so amazing. In this age of cleaned up, autotuned, over processed performances, it's great to see something like this. I would take this over a huge concert any day. This is the type of performance true music lovers live for. I would have given just about anything to be in that room.

Love Robert .. he’s been a part of my life from the age of 10 .. constantly searching and evolving for inspiration.. growing old gracefully and with such dignity.. serious yet with tongue sometimes panted firmly in his cheek.. a gorgeous human and an artist of a generation

Robert Plant sounds incredible at 75! He's wise enough to know his range has diminished with age and to therefore stay within it.

精彩🎸由最高峰演繹過萬次經典名曲,直到今日80歲唱solo呢段冇氣😅又有另一風味,小弟由80年代認識你,到今日都係聽 Led Zeppelin !! (睇下有冇香港粉絲先)

Wow!! Robert Plant is and always will be a Rock Icon, I got chills just listening to him sing just now on this video. How wonderful to see him and Andy on stage together. Thank you for singing Stairway to Heaven, this song will live on forever. I luckily got to see Robert on his Now and Zen Tour (Joan Jett his opening act) in Nashville Tn..❤❤
