I love what RP said about some bands who cited Zeppelin as their inspiration lacking sincerity and missing the point of what Zeppelin wanted to express. Its so true. I love his openess. ❤

Love his vocabulary ....'insular', 'birth of distraction'. What a beautiful memory with Elvis, singing together for a magic moment!

I don't think so. Us fans know what they are at this point. And we would understand. But to give us a final Farwell .. I think we would all love that. ❤️

Great interview that I've never heard before. It contains the most clear explanation as to why he has spoken in less than glowing terms, if at all, about The Honeydrippers album, in pretty much every interview he's given since. I never understood his seeming dislike for it, since I think it's fantastic on so many levels, but now I get it. Maybe he's lightened up since there are rumors of a deluxe version coming out soon. Thanks for posting.

The word artist gets thrown around too often, and it is often used incorrectly. Robert Plant is a true artist, and has continued to contribute to the soundtrack of his and our lives. Brilliantly I might add. I could listen to him talk all day, his wealth of knowledge, experience, and insight is amazing and it’s interesting how often I find myself listening to his old interviews just to try and pick up something that I may have missed. We have been insanely lucky to have had him in our time. I was lucky to see him and Page several times in the 90’s, while I wish we were given more of that, I am also grateful for what they did for themselves and us. It would be cool to have them do something acoustic, it’s probably never going to happen, but we can hope.

His story right at the end is so beautifully told and funny. What a charismatic Leo with his mane. Also speaking of Jimmy walking into the studio "He is the mist (looks at camera) you've stilll got it Jimmy". That was 1990 and the statement remains true in 2023.
