I’m with you Cammy on the dog situation, when my daughter was about Jocks size a dog the size of a border collie ran up to her, it really frightened her. After that whenever she saw a dog she used to hide behind me! Imagine as an adult having a horse galloping towards you, that’s the size difference. It’s all very well the owner saying he won’t hurt you, just get down to the child’s level, there’s a big mouth with huge teeth hurtling towards you. On a happier note I was given one of your Sheep Game mugs for Mothers Day which was a lovely surprise, not that I will use it I’ll just sit and look at your cheeky face! ❤

Cammy, Richard Cornock; Tom Pemberton, Olly and other young farming KZbinrs like Will Roobottom have done a wonderful job of shining light on farming and shown an honest picture of how important farms and farmers are. I am really enjoying these podcasts.

We love watching the Sheep Game and the Blackies vs the Blue Faced Leicester sheep. I don't care about some farmer's new shed. I'm thrilled with Cammy's new covering next to Mom's house. And I'm thrilled with watching Lizzie save Jock's life when he got too close to the gate.

I enjoy all your podcasts as I learn so much about the farming life and all its various methods of working and legislation. It's not all "ploughing the fields and scattering". Thank you once again.

Food security is the one that blows my mind: 4 years ago today, supermarkets shelves were getting empty, we had no idea what was going to happen and how we were going to feed the nation. Today we are all about importing substandard food from around the globe (example it is virtually impossible to buy garlic that doesn’t come from China) and plant trees. What happens in 30-40. years time when these trees are all mature and stop capturing vast amount of carbon? Selling carbon credit is nonsense, are we no supposed to fix the decade of high pollution instead of buying ourselves a good conscience by allowing airlines to offset their carbon emissions? Where is the sustainability here? PS: Kerrygold butter was surprisingly nice. Thank you Iona 😊

Re Tom, your coming from different starting points. It's easy to invest your money when you dont have the original outlay. Its like my teeneager who has more sitting in his bank to buy a house than i have in saving coz im already paying bills and more bills so nothing left to save, but he doesnt have those same bills, just save save! When you get your farm, it will be your farm, the time will come. I'm half expecting you to get Crossflats ... see you in Muirkirk in a few years! 😂 Ps you do have new things, the grey hair is new! 😂

I can understand that the Climate Accord is recognizing the huge loss of trees in Brazil and Canada due to massive wildfires, but you must feed the population. We can't eat trees. We might consider having the US stop flying around the planet in airplanes for fun, on vacation, because they spend a lot of money. Here in the United States we buy most of the goods manufactured in the whole world. We are not at all Climate conscious in the US.

Eggy park is a nightmare for dugs running up at you and I’m like you, when my step daughters were 5 and 2 I took them over after dinner and this dug, a Rottweiler no less ran at us full pelt and aye I grabbed the pair of them - me with screws and bolts in my hips and bottom of my spine grabbed them put them up on top of the climbing frame and grabbed the dug with my arm round its throat until the owners ran up to me and had the audacity to go for me for “hurting” their “baby” so me being me and in parent mode politely told them if they don’t get the dog on a lead I was going to twist my arm until they did , kids were screaming because this dog was running up to them all growling and I’d had enough and I only acted after shouting to the owners to run and grab this thing before it injured a child and they said the usual “aw he’s just playing he’s friendly” 😂😂 aye well he’s gonnie get friendly with my fists if you don’t get him under control lmao!
