Just tell people what the rent is man, ha ha. Why is that ‘private’?? And when you’re touring and the renter ooints out custom made furnitute, tell people what the approx. cost was- makes the video much more complete. Appreciate you, brother. !!! - just keeping it real.

Robert your content is phenomenal. The people you interview are down to earth people. I commend all of you expats living in another country. I feel too old to relocate. Mexico offers so much more than the US. I envy and highly admire and respect you all who have relocated from the United States to another country. Until the last two years I always was under the impression Mexico is dangerous and I would not travel there. Now watching KZbin channels about Americans relocating to Mexico, we have been brainwashed. The culture, the food, the way of life, in Mexico is much better than living here in the US. I could not take the humidity, but I would consider living in Ensenada. Sending you and your lovely family Holiday Wishes.

I live in Ensenada and the weather is perfect year round. Think San Diego weather, that's often been called some the best worldwide climates to live in. Comfortably warm enough during the day so you can spend your days outside and cool enough at night to need a light blanket during summer to sleep great at night. In Winter daylight highs are usually in the 70's with nights getting cold and down into the 40's and low 50's. My landlord says electric bills run around $7.00us per month. I live two miles to the beach and harbor malecon and spend $600us that includes my electric and all other utilities, cable and internet, drinking water with maid and laundry service. You can call me Rey...that's King in Spanish!

In the islands they tend to try to keep the electric bill down by limiting the air conditioners. Hardly any central air will you find and if they have it they don't use it. In the Bahamas they will have air in the bedrooms and you go in and out the bedrooms to get cool. The electric bills can make you do things we Americans think crazy.

@MoveAbroadandThrive
@MoveAbroadandThrive 2 жыл бұрын
Not exactly. For this particular visa, you'd need to have at least two visits to Mexico prior to 2021. Each year the dates move up. So in 2023, I'd qualify for this visa because two visits prior to 2022 would be the new requirement. No income or employment required for this visa.
@sophiemarcaurele
@sophiemarcaurele 2 жыл бұрын
Just one visit between 2015-2020 is enough for the RDV program at the INM office in Mérida. They must find you in the system, they don’t look at the stamps in your passport. The other condition is that your FMM must expire while you’re IN México, so try to get one as short as possible! I was granted 90 days on my last visit even though I asked for a short one, but I just hopped on the ADO to Chetumal to cross into Belize to get another one since that border is strict and only gives 7 days FMMs to discourage eternal tourists doing border runs. Then you just have to fill the forms, go to the bank to pay the fine for the expired FMM, the INM fees (depending on how many years you want for your temp residency, up to 4 years) and go to the office for your intake appointment. I walked out the next day with my residency card last month! 🤗💳 I hear the INM offices in Progreso and Campeche are less busy but I’m not sure if the requirements are the same. The best part is that you don’t need to submit things like proof of income, a letter from your employer, etc to apply for residency on the RDV program: the agents are lovely and some speak English, but you can also hire a facilitator to walk you through the process (you shouldn’t pay more than about 300$ for a facilitator). At the end of the 4 years, I’ll just have to go back to INM and get my permanente. Voilà! 🤔🤗💪🏻🇲🇽 www.gob.mx/tramites/ficha/regularizacion-migratoria-por-tener-documento-vencido-o-realizar-actividades-no-autorizadas/INM792

Great topic idea. I'll see what I can find. Men don't seem to have issues finding companions. The ones I hear most saying they can't find love here are the females (for a variety of reasons, much of which men tend not to care about, so it's much easier for them to find companions). With the women, it's much of ... 1. I'm not dating a man who earns less than me (yes, they say that while choosing to move to a place where the economics are much different than the US). But I'll dig deeper into this. I see plenty of foreign men dating locals.

I wonder why the home owners don’t clean up their homes before renting out, don’t they realize this help with selling/rentals.

This is just an assumption, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say in many cases, the owner simply don't have the funds to get it cleaned up. So they use some of the deposit money to get it done.

Can you talk with my husband? I think his biggest apprehension is that he will not be able to do anything in another country. Also he is not seeing a lot of black males in Mexico. He is currently a chef and we own a restaurant but we want him to move from that because he works so hard in that industry. I will book a consultation with you both. 🤑

The house seems nice but I'm concerned about them not being kept clean at least moderately between occupants. However, this seems like a great deal of space at a greatly affordable price. I didn't notice GFI s in kitchen and bathrooms. Also wondering how the concrete walls fair in hot and cold weather? It seems like they're settling in and living affordably. Because of the cost in bringing your own furniture I'm wondering is it best to rent unfurnished or furnished places. It's a gradual process adapting. I agree learning the language is beneficial. Having temporary residency helps you to feel more stable. Working remotely seems essential so you have to establish that first and or have substantial savings. Good to hear there are food options also I like cooking. I agree walking or bike riding is is ideal to explore and meet people. Glad he's enjoying the neighborhood. Informative video .

Wow... U have a great eye! I had to go look in my kitchen and bathroom to see about the GFIs. Now, most properties are not as dirty as his was upon his initial visit. This was not the norm from my experience. But, you will occasionally run on some real dirty ones. From what I've observed, the place is cleaned fairly well by the tenant who left previously and the place may sit empty for a short time and bugs make their way in and the place may be extra dusty but that's about it. Dead bugs may be laying around due to them leaving windows open so the house can breathe. Regarding furnished/unfurnished. You can usually find better deals unfurnished and in some cases, the deals are significant. It really depends on what your goals are. For some, renting furnished for about 6 months may be ideal to ensure they will be here and stay before they go buying all that stuff.... Cause like i mentioned, folks think they wanna live here and then they miss family and go back home.

The thick mampostería walls are perfectly adapted over centuries to the local weather... which is HOT. There’s no such thing as cold, or even mild, in Mérida! Unless you’re talking about the ice in your margarita 😬😎🥵
