This is a fascinating topic, I’ve read posts in which homosexuals who were prescribed ivermectin broke up with their significant other after and completely changed their gender of attraction. I’ve tried to bring up the data correlating toxoplasmosis to this to multiple health and science forums and get instantly banned. Controversial yes, but I think it does deserve some investigation.

It sounds very controversial and trials probably wouldn't pass the ethics committee. Also, in the current western society it's suicide to publish such a paper. Would love to read one though. Would be crazy if it came out true. But on the other hand, there are so many basic behavior and thinking/mood aspects that are affected by so many random stuff. Stress, nutrition, where you live, noise, viruses, gut Flora, hidden allergies, undiagnosed illnesses, so so many.

The military did plenty of studies on toxoplasmosis in fact they had a lab where they purposely infected kittens and destroyed them at 6 months old. The behavior in men and soldiers it makes them fearless and it makes them take risks. It also has ties to suicide. In women it can cause promiscuity. If you're ever in need of an organ and you get a donor make sure that they are tested for toxoplasmosis because a lot of accidents involving high speed crashes and motorcycle accidents could be associated with toxoplasmosis. It's possible the military purposely infected Soldiers with toxoplasmosis.
@bartwilson25135 жыл бұрын
The need to anthropomorphize microorganisms makes it harder for folks to understand genetics and evolution. It’s hard not to do, but it really does complicate the issue for most. Few comments: sexual transmission in humans has not been proven, though there is significant varied evidence (laboratory and epidemiological) showing it is likely. And, there is evidence that the neuropsychiatric complications (ie. schizophrenia) are present in women, as in men, though it’s more on the line of earlier appearance of schizophrenia rather than cause and effect. But, great talk on parasitism and human/host interactions. If you really want to gross yourself out, look up ophiocordyceps genus parasite videos. Warning: they cannot be unseen.

Once tried to eat a kitten who came to our house. Not interested in mating at all, like a chad. Sometimes I wish I was more like that cat. There were no exaggerations here. And all cause I balloted to my folks not to castrate him. Turned out good.

you mean the part where he talks about succesful soccer teams and high levels of toxoplasmocity(?)? yeah, that was fascinating too. Most of these soccer players are rags to riches stories as they are usually born really poor and in slums and have to work their way up the football ladder. And the slums they grew up in definitely do present favourable conditions for the parasite to thrive in. What I'm curious about is, what traits does this parasite give to these footballers and motorcycles? Recklessness? maybe makes you less risk averse so that you don't care about the consequences?

but wait folks, its not just cats, its animals, farm animals. If you work on a farm or live near a farm with doo doo all over or a field where they spread it, you could get this parasite which doesnt make most people sick and if it does, most times no treatment is needed. So dont freak out people. Toxoplasmosis is like one of thousands of wiggly bugs we have in us or could have in us if exposed. Relax people. Cats are wonderful and deserve our help and care

Don't eat your cat's poop. You're more likely to get it from gardening. Gloves and wash hands, folks.
