I like Robert's fight. I wonder if Ryan Hawley ever watched any of these old episodes and got his cue from how the character had been depicted and played in his teens. This Robert certainly makes us feel that he could well have grown up into the character played by Ryan in his period with Chrissie and then Aaron. It's also good how the writers kept their knowledge of past events between Robert, Andy and their father as these were regularly alluded to during the Robert/Aaron period. Fascinating to go back and watch as it all unfolded.

Yes, remind you of the Robert we see some 12 years later? So, there's someone else going back and watching these early episodes? I loved the Robert and Aaron era and I went right back and watched all of Aaron's first appearance in Emmerdale, and now doing the same for Robert. Guess I'm a bit of a tragic like Hazel as I can't let go! So sad the way Robert and Aaron ended. Cheers
