It appears to me, sight radius is as well as important. Fiber optics, by thier nature, reduces the distance betwn the rear optics and the front post. A pronounced front post optic, in most if not all lighting conditions, is very important for a defensive sight as well as speed shooting sights. I've tried Snake Eyes Ghost Rings, that have a pronounced front post. These sights work as designed inside 21', however, going to 30' always takes a toll on good hits as the post obscures the now smaller target area. It takes alot of practice with these sights when reaching out beyond a closer 21' foot target area. As my G26 is more than capable of 75' quality hits I went back to my TFX-PRO sights. These are very tight btwn the front post and rear, very little gapping, but also loose sight radius. If the fiber optics are not standing out, then top alignment works in a less than optimal lighting situation.

Can you define the spacing around your sight? I have Tru-Glows TFOs, because of the sight radius and in my hands it appears that the rear sight slot (.145") has just less than two widths of the front sight (.144"). Seems too tight perhaps for USPSA?

At 66 I can't see my sights without my cheaters, If I focus on the front sight I can't see my target. And Vice a versa
