Unrelated to this but can we get a petition to count his second win vs Yoel as a title defense? I understand he beat a guy who couldn’t win the belt because of the weight but if the tables were turned he would’ve been crowned the Champ. Idk, just feel he deserves to be credited as a defending champ when that win was logistically more impressive than beating a challenger who made weight

He talked about it on his podcast, apparently he had been having some pains in his stomach during the camp and went into get scans and the scans all came back clean. The doctors believe that his intestines were popping in and out of the hernia for weeks before the fight, but they couldn't find it on the scans because when he would lie down for the scans the intestines would pop back in. The only reason they found it in the 1st place was because of the dehydration of the weight cut, so there really was nothing more he could of done, For once a weight cut actually saved someones life.

Hernias are actually largely caused by genetics. I had an inguinal hernia last year and my dad and all of his siblings got many throughout their lives. Shit takes a lot longer to recover than 6 weeks, trust me. It took me nearly a year before I felt like I could start wrestling. WRESTLING!!! not just fighting. Shit took my Jr year away from me smh. But you're never the same after. Like I can still wrestle the same, but when I come home afterward it feels weird. The mesh... you can feel the mesh and it's a weird ass feeling bro. I remember when I was recovering it was honestly the most painful time in my life so far but that's not really saying too much, but it was bad. I got sick at the same time, so I'd be coughing. And everytime I coughed I could feel all my intestines move. Its gonna take whittaker probably less time to come back than I did, but think about it, should he really? I'm 18, I have those young nigga X man regeneration genes. Whittaker is still young, but hes accrued much more damage than I (just on the account of how long hes been doing it. Even the most successful fighters have lots of injuries we all know this) so he probably wont heal as quick as I did. Granted, our hernias are different, but his seems even worse than mine! I had my hernia for a while before I realized it wasnt just my bladder saying hello cause i had to pee. It was the surgery that fucked me up. Whittaker had to pull out cause he was vomiting and shit like what? I'd say give him a year and a half at least
@Swimfit9985 жыл бұрын
Yes i had the same and my family too. It takes about 1 year to feel normal not too mention fighting. I wonder if the docs have updated him. Also you are weakened with the mesh. The thought of being kicked there is going to give him serious problems.

@@Swimfit998 For real. Luckily for me mines by my crotch so I shouldnt get kicked their too much, but his was in the center of his abdomen I believe. Much worse.
