Those tracks are really good. This album is the weakest of the four albums with the original members, but it’s still very good. So I don’t agree with Robert, but we can’t agree on everything.

I like that Clear Light album. Love Mr Blue. Funny how you also assigned personalities to the different members, as did I. I picture the first guy you pointed out wants to attack the cameraman, and the other guys are trying to calm him down (although some are more ready for the fight than others). Also, every copy of Queen II I own has that same wacky compressed sound, although I have come to like it.

I've seen some pretty beat up copies of Queen's News of the World, with that giant robot killing everybody. God, my sister had that album when I was a kid, and that album's cover and inner sleeve absolutely scared the living daylights out of me.

Great video. Don't have the collection that you do. I do remember listening to a lot of those albums back in the day. There are two albums that I don't remember why I bought them . Phil Seymour from the Dwight Twilley band. And Moon Martin, Street Fever. Seymour, I think was for Presious to Me. But for the life of me, I can't remember what Street Fever had on it that I liked. On a separate topic. I just heard your troll interview. When you talked about playing the clarinet and taking apart 8 track tapes to fix them , I had to make you weren't talking about me. I couldn't repair my Here and There tape by Elton John . So I had to buy another one. Ahh memories.

Apart from the more metal related albums such as Rob Zombie and Nazareth I have virtually all of these albums. It's 4am here in England and I just woke up due to being an old man and prostate etc (I'm 48) - loved this video and am now downstairs listening to the various artists album "The Hackney Musicians Collective" on headphones so as not to wake the neighbours - not played it for a decade and am just loving it "The moon in Hackney says yes, exactly" -- priceless ✌️. Gonna keep digging up some more albums I've not played for a decade Thanks for mentioning "Red Headed Stranger" by Willie Nelson previously, I bought it solely on your recommendation and love it!

Robert it's been my album to get me started for the day since I got it (that's starting at 8am not 4am like last night). I will try to keep any comments to a minimum but I love your posts and that you are not biased against any type of music and I especially that you mentioned The Trammps as you could do an entire show about "Scrub board" alone - what a record!!!! I will stop there but I don't in person as I rant on to oblivion even after my teddy bear has given up on me and that's why I love your show. Thanks for being you Robert ✌️

Roberta Flack's, First Take, is very special to me; this was remastered in 2020 (about when you did this video) and included some songs not on the first FIrst Take album; such as, an otherworldly 8-minute version of To Sir With Love. Actually her first five albums (produced by Joel Dorn) are special for me. Roberta is my very favorite female vocalist in ANY genre and has been since 1973 when I was eight years old. Thank you for mentioning this LP and your kind words about her.

I have this album and totally agree with you. It sounds like mid to late 70s style of recording texture - sound of the drums, bass line and a bit of synthetic feel of the guitar sound. If you don't tell the listener one will not be able to name the guitar player. As a whole it doesn't feel and sounds like a Jimi Hendrix's album.

Since I like The Bosstone's stuff from around when that comp was released I decided to give their version of Detroit Rock City a listen, really does sound like they are phoning it in, uninspired and almost sounds like their first album where they didn't really know how to meld metal/punk with ska yet. I was going to recommend you some of their less poppy earlier stuff but then I remembered something, HORNS, HORNS, LOTS OF HORNS, nope, there's no way I'd get you into them, lol.

You can get the Grateful Dead album Anthem Of The Sun 50th Anniversary 2 disc set that came out in 2018. It has both the original 1968 mix and the 1971 mix. Obviously, the 2 mixes are on one disc. I forgot what the second disc had. Roberta Flack's Compared To What is a great song. You can feel the frustration in her voice. It's a great socially conscious songs I've heard on that album. It's jazzy, it's very gritty. It's something you would hear at a Jazz club. Especially in the late 60's. Someone in my family used to have this album and I remember coming access the first album when I was younger. I might've heard The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face but it's been so long. That song was in a movie called "Play Misty For Me" if I'm not mistaken. It's with what's his name. I can't believe I'm blanking on his name. You would probably know who I'm talking about. But yeah. One of the great songs I've heard from Roberta Flack. Did you know that she sang the theme song to Valerie's Family/The Hogan Family? I don't know if you've even watched an episode of that show but she sang a song called Together Through The Years. Life is such a sweet insanity The more you learn, the less you know In the heart of every family There's a love that starts by letting go I'm an 80's kid through and through. Edit: It's Clint Eastwood. I went on Pinterest to pin some things and I'm seeing covers of Rolling Stone and like clockwork, a front cover with Clint Eastwood pops up. Thanks Pintrest.👍

It was strange and disturbing to hear you describe 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face', composed by the late, great communist folk singer, Ewan MacColl, as "elevator music". Flack's version is sublime. On Hendrix: only three of his posthumous albums have decent albums covers - 'Cry of Love', 'War Heroes' and 'The Jimi Hendrix Concerts'. 'Midnight Lightning'? Oh man, it's so bad.
