Robert Fripp's "Music for Quiet Moments" series. We will be releasing an ambient instrumental soundscape online every week for 50 weeks. Something to nourish us, and help us through these Uncertain Times.
"Quiet moments are when we put time aside to be quiet. Sometimes quiet moments find us. Quiet may be experienced with sound, and also through sound; in a place we hold to be sacred, or maybe on a crowded subway train hurtling towards Piccadilly or Times Square.
Quiet Moments of my musical life, expressed in Soundscapes, are deeply personal; yet utterly impersonal: they address the concerns we share within our common humanity." Robert Fripp

Hello, Robert. I have followed your distinctive, yet beyond category music for decades. Salut, master! This piece is to me like soothing inhalations and exhalations of lungs returned to full breathing capacity, as I was recently after heart failure. Your reference to being in a crowded subway train reminded me of riding a New Jersey Transit commuter train into and out of New York City. I frequently passed the time by taking candid photos of fellow passengers or shots of the landscape rushing past the windows. Most often I caught the people in their own moments of silence. The world is endlessly fascinating if one knows how to "proofread" the environment for hidden details. Good luck with this series of compositions, and thank you.

I'll be sad when this series is over - have so enjoyed these ever so brief escapes from the craziness of the pandemic world. Thank you RF.

A point in time is something solid. But it can't be. Just now it is already a think of the past...

Idk Ten years ago the Japan tsunami disaster happened and this whole week my yt was flooding with videos taken 10 years ago that day. Now there's Mr. Fripp's flooded garden as a solemn reminder accompanied with great music.

Beautiful. I would love to hear that played by a chamber orchestra with electric guitar (and whatever it takes to produce this particular electric guitar sound).
