Its always interesting to see how people react to Greene's books. The absence of moral judgement is always a shock to the system and they react with disgust and concern. The books aren't immoral, just amoral. They paint an unsensored picture offering clarity and acceptance, rather than a typically righteous one.
@leonaise7546 Жыл бұрын

The book is often confused and judged hardly because people believe it is about control and belittling people. When in actual fact it is a deep discussion about what we crave and want from each other. To be a good lover is to be a master in giving people what they want, in a way where we can also fulfill what we want as well. It is a give and take.

A question I always WISHED someone would ask Mr. Greene is: What do you personally think is more fun? Being the seducer or being seduced?
@BashaerB-h2c Жыл бұрын
Personally (even as a female) I enjoy being the seducer so much. Being able to stir desire and take another person on a journey is extremely fulfilling for me. I know this is stereotypically a masculine role, but nevertheless I enjoy it by adding feminine twist to it. I fall under the ideal lover + coquette + the dandy types.

End goal is being in a relationship or at least having an out-of-boring-daily life experience with them.

I really think the terminology is what turns people off of this and the laws of power. Sure the tactics displayed are overtly manipulative which is generally negative, but if we're being honest with ourselves almost any interaction with a goal involves some degree of manipulative behavior (think being extra nice and smiley when trying to make a good first inpression). Absolutely think the advice in his books can be used for bad or good, which he expresses in his interviews. But using the term "victims" definitely gives people the wrong idea lol.
@Daniel-Deshaun Жыл бұрын

@flura236011 ай бұрын
My theory is, that he wants the terminology to be this way, to create a lure and a strong emotional reaction. And the ultimate seducer is one, who has you under his control, so it makes sense, that he uses this terminology for the overarching theme of the book. A normal person wouldn't ever want to dive into the behaviour of the later chapters, if they only seek to pursue a functional relationship.

I believe only the rake and siren are the real seducers simply because their “method” is more catered and focused. You’d have to be extremely good at reading people to learn what they desire and become that. None of these are bulletproof 100% guaranteed success tho. This book is more about being more attractive to common people (outside of rake and siren) than actually seducing someone. So the breakdown would only make this book become a complete lie. No one can seduce someone into doing something they do not already desire without using of force of some kind. And furthermore a breakdown would remove the humanity and natural flow of the interaction which is useless because humans are not robots, one act can have thousands of different responses based simply on how its taken without even mentioning when and where. Just way too many variables.

its a way you are trying to fullfill you needs and wants, you tell me if it leads to peace, contentment and real intimacy. You are reliving patterns and not having to look at the why ect as long as you just go along with desire and avoid what you are afraid off

It’s interesting to learn about different types of seducer and how seduction can work in some places, but let’s be real this honestly will never work if you want a healthy long lasting real relationship it’s all mind games that eventually fails especially if you think of this as a Manual you will gain nothing but temporary satisfaction of being a player then it’s gets boring and scary so take what fits right and leave the rest to your own right of judgement

after hours of study and contemplation, i can today conclude that i am a combination of both the rake and the charmer. first and foremost, I'm a rake, my charmer-esque qualities only spawning as a result of my rakish infatuations.

Personally I found this video sickening, but some people do consciously crave toxic seduction. I think that it says a lot about people's emotional maturity.

Anyone attempting to implement any of these tactics is necessarily insincere, unless you, withoit thought or motive, are innately seductive. In my opinion, sincerity is a most attractive characteristic, regardless of whether or not there is agreement in belief or understanding

I don't get what these ethical people are trying to say. If you've been loved by a girl or someone, do you think that because of your look? No, it's because of your personality and energy, so you got the love of that girl but not other girls, which means that everybody loves some traits about others that make them fall in love with them, and what the book is providing are the traits that seduce each type of person, so you change your energy to be able to get their love, and about that being ethical or not, you cannot say it's not because your personality is already seducing some type of person, and you think that is okay, but you think changing the way you seduce is unethical because you're seeing people as pawns? It's all about ethics, and if you make others love you, that is a good thing for you and them to make a connection and win friendship and other things, and what is not ethical is you doing it just for playing them and then leaving them hurt after you betray them.

i was like you my friend. i used to think like you; i was (and am...IMO) physically unattractive, repellent, insecure and hopelessly romantic. my view on love was unrealistic and distorted. i failed time and again with women, but then. after losing my soul in the process, i awoke, i realised that my natural authentic self was not enough; i began attentively studying Roberts book "the art of seduction" every day and i am proud yet equally shameful to say that, it has worked with immense and frankly unexpected potency: i read, i pondered i considered and i eventually practiced. i now, with thanks to Robert and my arduous efforts have finally gotten a woman incredibly interested in me. she has feelings for me, she tells me she loves me. she has become dependent on me. am i guilty? somewhat, do i regret it? not an ounce.

yup exactly, this book is great for self defense. I noticed it's always the ppl who come in our life by themselves. I don't trust ppl who approach me first or even give me alot of attention, I choose Who I want in my life, not who wants in my life.

sure if you value tension and want to get your ego off instead or relaxation and true intimacy. You are just continually turning in subconsious emotions/mental patterns. It causes desire bc it feels deeply familiar (deep conditioning) and causes anxiety bc you have experienced the suffering that comes from it before 'how indiffrent and ruthless will this one be? Exciting!'

Idk, I have great desire for romance and connection, and that's a severe understatement, they've been missing for way too many years. But the thought of victimizing others to get your desires, gives me a bad gut feeling to be honest.

Great video, A month ago, my five-year relationship came to an end. I really can't stop thinking about the love of my life, who made the decision to leave me. I've done everything in my power to win him back, but it's all in vain, and I can't imagine my life with anyone else. I genuinely miss him and just can't stop thinking about him, even though I've tried my hardest to stop thinking about him. I'm not sure why I'm saying this here.
