Thanks for the review. Does YB mini capture 1080p 60fps into SD card?(while not in live service). If so what is the quality compare to Atmos Ninja V?

Good day Robert! I have been searching to know if I can connect my iphone via USB to have a constant ethernet connection vs wifi?
@RobertHamm
@RobertHamm Жыл бұрын
You can, but the better connection would be through hotspot. The latest versions of the firmware are trying out bonded internet. This is a game changer and will allow you to use multiple Internet sources at the same time. Think about a hotspot, Ethernet connectin, and sim card- all being used at the same time. It's very exciting.

I have the Original unit - I have other streaming units too, like the sling studio, - but the all in one is the key for me and being able to stream with 4G (slower but at least you have the option) - I wonder if you got a Mini if you could use it as a streaming source to the original unit (has that as an option) - So, they also took away SD video playback as a selected source? - I do like using that for quick full screen "be right back" animations... Im faced with a situation of having to use data on the next show I do - Im only getting like 3ish maybe 4 peak upload speeds. - I wonder if it's better to stream at 2mbps in 720 or 3mbps in 1080 - what did you like for encoder settings for fast action? - CQ? Im torn... Im leaning toward 720 at 2mbps 30fps it's 2hrs to youtube I love 1080 but concerned about quality and artifacts at that low of a BR - thoughts?

Hey. Yes. You can select the live stream source on another YB as a video input. This only works with YL restream server and the remote system set to YoloLiv restream servers. Both YB have to be logged into your YL account and KZbin account. Then you can select the remote source as the live stream source on the YBOG or YBP. YBM does not have that option. Just remember that latency could be up to one minute. If you want to shorten that you would need to do that on KZbin under the edit stream section of your broadcast companion. Yes, as of the launch, no SD card video. I find it helpful and am sad that it's not present. However you can use fill screen image overlays and Gifs. The network connection question is a bit more tricky. 2Mbps 1080p doesn't look good to me. Definitely not CQ because the video can get stuttery. A 4Mbps connection max would be difficult for 3Mbps 1080 because if the average was 3Mbps then you would choke out your bandwidth. 3Mbps is the lowest 1080 setting KZbin suggests for 1080 up to 30fps. I think I would choose 2Mbps 720 at CBR on this one, but that would be after some network tests on location the day of. Of course, 1080 at 5Mbps is my preferred if I can get it. Usually not a problem with a sim around my area. Good luck.

@@RobertHamm I figured 5 was the bottom for an acceptable 1080p30 stream but wanted to ask you since you have more experience with this particular unit as it relates to the rest. One other question - I love that it has the speed test app in it - but if I choose another tower and it's better/worse does it commit to that choice or does it always use the fastest data connection. ok one last one for ya - if I have a 2 cam shoot I know I can just use audio from the first camera for both, but is there any way to adjust latency in case there is a video delay doing it that way? I can't imagine that it would sync to the other audio coming in. both would be HDMI - I know I can choose auto and it would just switch to whatever video source is being chosen - but just curious about latency - Thanks

No Problem. You can check the KZbin Live Stream guidelines for all the upload info you want. 3 is minimum Youtuube believes you can get a good 1080 30p stream, but they wont stop you from trying with a 1Mbps feed- it would look horrible though. For me, it's 5 or 720 at 3 if i can get it. YB only allows 2, though. As for delay/latency correction, Yes. It's available on YBP. However, I have never needed to use it. The clocks in all of my devices have been great right out of the gate. I have had to use it when using other streaming software, like OBS and XSplit, and I have heard some YB users needing to use it, but I have never experienced it with my setup. As for the tower, That isn't the connection your phone will use for the stream. It is simply a choice you make relitive to your location. We can not choose what towers and servers are used during the stream. I usually let the test app choose the closest tower/server and base my network speed choices off of that. I haven't had many problems with YB, it has made my life a lot wasier than trying to do this stuff with my cmputer and OBS when on location. I hope this helps.

@@RobertHamm great thanks for all your info! - I wonder if the new Mini will take the HDMI directly from the new xf605 - the older box doesn't and you have to use a spliter - this is the same prob I guess for the C cameras too that canon has - not sure if that is a firmware issue or not... it's clean HDMI - odd. yeah, I wasn't sure how it determines where it locks to Data... and I guess even if you pick a different one it won't care and use whatever one is closest? guess that is just random...
@RobertHamm
@RobertHamm 2 жыл бұрын
This is actually something I helped test, not the 605, but all of my cameras. the Team at YoloLiv has put a lot of work into making C cameras work better with YB. the issue is with the HDMI protocol. For some reason C/N use a different standard than S/F/P/O. Don't ask me why.. that's just the info I have. However, A couple in the test group did have Canon Camcorders and that was a thing they were working on. From my understanding, it's better, but I don't have any first hand knowledge. but... The 605! What a camera. I like that camera. I like the Panasonic CX350, too. As for the server used in the tests, the company that runs that site is OOKLA. you can get there ny going to speed test dot net. Check them out sometime. Good way to test your internet. Cheers.

Unsolicited advice. No one asked your opinion. People like you, offering "constructive criticism", are the Karen's of the internet. Just how entitled and godlike so you think you are? It is a narcissistic person that wishes to give advice unsolicited. Here's a business protip: Keep yout constructive criticism to yourself unless a client hires you for your advice. Use it wisely.
