Good show man! So its a matter of the pellets skirt engaging the rifling inside the barrel at slower speeds it wasn't blasting the skirt out as far as before, therefore you need a bigger pellet diameter to get the same results, regulated. Excellent explanation, its shows your expertise and experience.

Yes: You are quite right. The issues are that the teeenest alterations can make a big difference with how all aspects of airguns work. Although all airguns are 'Low' power in comparison to most things in life, they work very quickly and there are great forces at work, so small changes make a big difference. If you can ever capture a 'Normal Average Weight Pellet' from a 40+ft/lb PCP you will see that it is a LUMP of lead not pellet shaped due to the air blast, but you still get some deformation on 12ft/lb especially on JSB, AA etc. as they are very soft composites.

The man takes his time out of his day, lets you into a highly specialized world of his (knowledge) and gives a concise detailed explanation of how things work and why, and three morons think "ah I'll thumb this down" because they have contributed SO much to anything? Hey Mr Lane, ok, I am a retired Pipefitter and just got an At44 wood 10 shot. With Hill pump, Wolf Stripper and regulator coming, $69, really good deal I hope. So, as a fitter like I get the valve, Venturi effect, ect. So, it needs to be vented because why, they normally let in a tiny bit more then supposed too? Or, does it let in whole amount of pressure always from main part of tank (reg is in removable tank) then vents to the regulators setting? Thanks, your a hell of an engineer not just a designer, no need to be so humble, I wish I had half your smart for this stuff
