Interview with Roberto Giolito, Italian automotive designer known for his work in the automotive industry. He was born on January 7, 1956 in Turin, Italy. Giolito is primarily known for his contributions to the Fiat Group, where he spent much of his career.
Giolito began his career in the automotive industry in the late 1970s, working for Italdesign Giugiaro under the guidance of renowned designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. During his time at Italdesign, Giolito worked on various projects and gained valuable experience in the field of automotive design.
In 1987, Giolito joined the Fiat Group, one of the largest automobile manufacturers in Italy. He held various positions within the company and played a significant role in shaping the design language of Fiat vehicles. One of his most notable contributions was the design of the Fiat Seicento, a popular city car launched in 1997.
Giolito's greatest success came when he was appointed Head of Design of the Fiat Automobiles Group. In this position, he led the design team responsible for the creation of many other successful Fiat Group cars, such as the Fiat 500 and the latest generation Fiat Panda. His creativity and experience have helped define the image and style of Fiat cars over the years.
