I hate to comment on KZbin but this man right here knows what he's talking about. I've been on KZbin for 6 years, built 1.3M sub channels (and others not as big). This is the FIRST time I see someone really talking about KZbin secrets. Love You Man.

I have to say that mine is failing. 370 videos and only 2700 subs. $CPM is going down not up. Then again, I can't be full time, only 5-7 hours/week, so maybe this was the best it could be. I am monetized, but that doesn't cover even the cost of the Envato Elements. I only continue because I like doing it. A few hundred people watch each video, 98% upvote ratio, about 10 comments praising my work. So I continue on.

Roberto dropping facts as usual! KZbin is a difficult platform but hard work and dedication can take you far. Especially if you're open to learning and improving with each video you create. Not to mention being able to accept responsibility when a video fails. Blaming the algorithm gets you nowhere.
@PurposedLensPhotoMedia
@PurposedLensPhotoMedia Жыл бұрын
I agree with you! I am also learning that the TOP creators out there aren't necessarily the BEST! Take Roberto for instance, he drops gems ALL THE TIME (by himself!) that are MUCH more in depth and practical (in my opinion), yet there are MANY other KZbinrs that are larger with more views. The size and view count of a channel does not dictate the VALUE of the PERSON however, the size of a channel and it's view count do dictate it's value to KZbin (The Company). I think this is an IMPORTANT distinction to make and grasp/learn. To be KZbin successful one MUST "play the game". To reach one's full potential, one just needs to be true to his or her purpose and capabilities. (which is what Roberto does on KZbin and OUTSIDE of KZbin.) Roberto teaches how to balance the two equally so that you can get results from both sides of the spectrum. Personally I find that my videos that "FAIL" are the one's I REALLY enjoy making! The one's that succeed are the one's I MUST make to be relevant on this platform. So I plan on making 1 video a month for me and the other for KZbin. Great comment!

I'm still small, channel-wise, but I am content with what I've got, as opposed to feeling worthless and chasing view like where I once was. What I've learnt makes me better and that matters to me. My crappy vids, some of them have good content but the vid is awful. I am revamping those old vids and that's working well. I'm also engaging a lot in the community tab. And that's the thing, my niche might keep me small right now, but engagement is amazing. THAT is worth so much to me. And after learning so much, I feel I am growing as a person, as a creator, regardless of the numbers.

What would being the largest channel in your niche look like?
@DarthShadie
@DarthShadie Жыл бұрын
@@RobertoBlake I suppose it would look like having between 5K and 50K subscribers and being one of the go-to people for all things lore for that specific video game, a place for fun discussions and crazy theories where even more people are chiming in their theories and viewpoints on the story of the franchise. In my niche, 5K subs is good, the rare few who have more than 30K either do other games too or have been around much longer. The engagement would be exponentially higher than it already is (which is pretty amazing right now).

You're so right about reaction videos. I generally detest react videos because it's just some personality who's watching video on TikTok and they just go "Wow!" or "No way!" and all they do is make a series of facial expression and funny remarks. I learn absolutely nothing new, and there's nothing to take away about the video other than it's trending on TikTok. I do enjoy watching "Expert reacts to" or "Professional reacts to" videos. Whenever I watch a lawyer react to Better Call Saul, or U.S. Air Force pilot reacts to Top Gun, or former mobster reacts to The Sopranos, I get to learn from their perspective how Hollywood portrays their profession. I get to learn from their personal experiences in the field and how accurate the characters and story are depicted and what did Hollywood get right or wrong. I also enjoy debunking videos. Not everything you see on TikTok is true or good advice. I love it when an auto mechanic rips apart bad advice on repairing cars, or when a chef has to explain that there's a better way to cook this meal, or when a tech expert has to point out that this video is just giving worthless advice and is trying to sell you a product.

I saw this guy many years ago and said to myself "he's never going to make it on KZbin. He's too soft-spoken." LOL! Turns out I was the one who didn't make it on KZbin! Congrats for sticking with it and getting a half a million subscribers! PS - I saw you on that commercial! That's what made me look for your channel again. I would give you some advice to make a motivational video, but what the heck do I know.😆

Great informative video!! Didn't really know about the stats you mentioned at the beginning. I'm about to crack 10K and though I would have loved a much faster growth I'm actually happy given my limited time and resources and I'm also enjoying the overwhelming positive feedback from my audience. Stay safe.

I have 22k subs, am monetised, and i've been doing KZbin properly since 2015, it is an insane amount of work, and i've posted over 3k videos during that time period as i upload content almost daily. My channel growth is a lot slower now, but i've improved my techniques over time, and i will continue to give it my all.

@RockymountainRobert
@RockymountainRobert Жыл бұрын
That's because KZbin doesn't want or need everyone who has a channel to be successful, they couldn't afford to pay them all, and that's the truth.
@RobertoBlake
@RobertoBlake Жыл бұрын
They would be able to afford it because they would literally make more money, its not an employee's need a raise and salary situation, creators bring in money, they get more money...

I heard KZbin is moving to "pay to play." In other words, you now have to pay for KZbin to promote your videos. I think this a subject that will interest a lot of content creators. I also think your channel grew fast because you are a very gifted communicator.
@RobertoBlake
@RobertoBlake Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the compliment. As for the pay to play thing… Incorrect… the Promote feature is because every e-commerce brand is on KZbin and the previous system in Google Ads is too confusing for them. Similar to Instagram. Organic growth is still the norm. However it’s tripping up and confusing creators that it exist
