Thank you for sharing Pol and your training of this amazing young gelding. I have a Percheron mare I raised as a yearling and is now 19y.o Remains in good health and a willing partner in the field. I trained her in a very similar way. My harness does not have a collar and is just a breast straps. I would have preferred a collar but made due with what I had. We worked with a drag and dethatcher and a single blade bottom plow. She has always been very calm and sensible you watch her eyes while learning and she is working it out in her head. Thanks again for this wonderful work with this very nice boy. Wish you and yours well.

The only thing I would do differently is I would train the horse without blinders. In my experience horses learn not be frightened by anything this way. Pol is amazing in his willingness to do what he is asked to do. Anybody would like to have a horse like him.

Absolutely agree! Young horses shouldn't wear blinders from start! We can use them after 3-4 years old. This colt is calm and so will to work.
