Australian here… been looking at Tesla since Sept. 2021, ordered a M3LR March 2022 that I had to cancel after a 9 month wait due to a house fire that has only just been resolved w. Insurance etc… in hindsight so glad I did. Been waiting for Juniper update before making a final decision between Model 3 & Y…. As a cash purchase for a car that I want / need for at least 10 years I think I will order a Model Y in a few months time…. Most important to me is longevity, warranty, efficiency and physical SAFETY. Always felt the old MY was bat shit ugly and this update has significantly improved that, as well as ventilated seats, front camera and most of M3 Highland features quite confident that despite the disappointment of not moving to 800 volt, no battery chemistry improvements its still a solid good choice for me. As a 55 year old semi retired that will use the car for part time uber / taxi driving, long road trips quite confident that this will most likely;y be the car I choose…. In Australia we are experiencing price wars w. Chinese cars and so much choice that waiting another 3-6 months I’ll be more than happy with a car to last me 10+ years….

The car is the best selling car in the world! It doesn’t need a complete redesign at all. The incoming updates in the refresh are perfect!! And there were a ton of improvements from the old model! The car is a much better car than the older ones but they want to keep the price affordable. So they didn’t want to change too much. Look at the Ford F150! They have been making the same exact truck for 20 years with just different grills and lights every 2-3 years.

If they are trying to convert non EV drivers, they need to increase range. They clearly don’t do that because they would have to actually give up something that cost, rather than just software and aesthetic changes. They even skimp out on the range of cars that cost over $100k. I’m not a Tesla hater either, I have the Cybertruck and my wife has the Y. Just being honest.

It's available in the Philippines as well. Tesla officially launched here last Nov. 8, and those who placed orders for the Model Y up until this one was released received an email saying they were automatically upgraded to the new model, with a one-time modification allowed.

You could always take the Tesla emblem and put it right in the middle right below the tail light so it takes up some of that space. Not right in the middle meaning halfway down the trunk meaning closer to the Tesla script on the tail light, but it would still at least take up some of that trunk space.

I don’t think that the frunk opening is any suggestion from Tesla that it powered. It’s a pretty requested feature so if it was powered I think they would have shown it for publicity sake.

Taiwan gets their vehicles from the US, Black will be a US color. Like the Blue but not sure of the availability. Taiwan will be getting their Model Y after the US launch / deliveries begin. Early Q2 in the US, hopefully Performance around the same time. Performance is not big in China market.

Let me know when Tesla has a model other than the gargantuan CyberTruck that currently supports V2H or that has hardware support that can be enabled with a software patch. I’d prefer to spend my money on a so equipped Model Y but will snap up a Model X with this feature, especially one with an 800V battery and 48V accessory support, with or without drive by wire.

I'm VERY Uninthusiastic about the New Y because without the ROYAL-BLUE, is my FAVORITE Color. But TESLA NEVER SEEMS TO CARE Whate WE Actually want in Colors of these cars, and I can not understand WHY they repeatedly do this! Why not GIVE US OPTIONAL COLORS. Sterring Wheels, and STAULKS, which I don't want AT ALL! Now that My color is GONE, I WILL NOT Upgrade to the 2025.
